We could not have asked for a better place to stay on our visit to Orkney .Lovely house , with everything obviously well thought out for guests comfort . The warm welcome we received from Audrey made us feel instantly at home ,and this , combined with the great breakfasts ,completed a fantastic holiday.

Lovely place. Very beautiful and comfortable house. Warm welcome by Audrey. Very very good breakfasts (The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon...... waouhh!!!). Compared to other B&B in Scotland, we think that an additionnal star should be appropriate !!! Many thanks to Audrey from the 3 french visitors in May 2013.

An excellent B & B all round; a lovely purpose-built house with very good views, in a great location to enable you to make the most of your stay on Mainland Orkney. You can expect a warm welcome, the accommodation is very comfortable and the breakfasts superb.

Yes, it's true, you'll not find better anywhere.

The house is purpose built to a very high standard, down to the smallest detail.

Audrey and Calvin have created a lovely home, and the welcome is as warm as you could wish for.

You'll need transport, and with that proviso, you are in the perfect spot to explore the Orkney mainland.

Loch Harray, said to be the finest trout fishing anywhere, and Scara Brae, the finest prehistoric site, both now have a new claim to fame, namely their proximity to Ashleigh B&B!

Room Tip: No need, they're all good!

The property having been purpose designed and buit as both home and B&B gives it a head start over other B&Bs. Add to this the location (views and proximity to neolithic sites), the hospitality of the owner, the comfortable lounge and the good choice of breakfasts, then this accomodation sets the standard of how B&Bs should be.

A new purpose-built B&B each with en-suite shower room. Ideally situated in the middle of West Mainland Orkney. Superb choice for breakfast. Audrey could be more helpful. The best B&B we've ever stayed in( and we've stayed in a few!)

Room Tip: Try to get one at the front looking across the fields to the loch.

As has been said before this purpose-built B&B should be rated as a 5 star due to the quality of the accommodation, breakfast and hospitality of the owner, Audrey. We accidentally left our cheque book behind and it was returned to us by post the next day. All offers to refund the postage were refused. Excellent service during AND after our stay. Would definitely recommend!
