“Amazing Cullen Skink”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013 via mobile

Dropped in for a quick lunch on our way home from shopping in Elgin. The place was really busy and the catering team were like whirling dervishes keeping up with the demand. There was a bit of a delay as a result, but the food was definitely worth waiting for. I am rapidly becoming a Cullen skunk expert, and this one was certainly up there with the best ... absolutely full of lovely fish and really tasty. We will definitely be back!

“Covesea Cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Most excellent breakfast, always fresh produce and very well cooked and presented. Not as expensive as some establishments. Seafood buffet on a Saturday evening requires a booking.. not to be missed.....

“First class food...first class service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

I have eaten at Covesea Cafe, along with, at various times, my wife, grandchildren, other family and friends. On each occasion the food was excellent, hygiene impeccable and service first class and prompt, no matter how busy they are.

I see that all reviewers bar one seem to agree with me; I wonder at the motives of ChrisSavage of Elgin in saying what he did, but I certainly do not believe it. I have never seen such an incident and I would suggest that I have been to the Covesea Cafe many times more that he has!! One can see directly into the kitchen and food prep area and it is spotless, as are the staff.

I would recommend anyone to go and see for themselves, then judge this review on what they see. We will certainly be back - frequently!

“Super little cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

We have eaten here a couple of times while visiting family in the area. It's always full at lunchtime, whatever time of year, with a mixture of RAF personnel (the base is just across the way), local businesspeople, walkers and golfers. Staff are very friendly and welcoming to families. The Cullen Skink is amazing and very good value. All soups are homemade and sandwiches are very good too. Plenty of seafood on offer to eat in or take away. We have also come away before now with pictures which you can buy directly off the walls. General seaside theme and although quite a low-key place, this is one of our favourite spots in the area. Would definitely recommend.
