“Family experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Visited The Loft for lunch with family and friends. Thanks to lovely weather we were seated outside adjacent to kiddies play area which was a welcome feature. Staff greeted us warmly and were very attentive. Excellent food and good value for money.
Minor drawback was the lack of draught beer but overall a very pleasant experience.

Thank you for your review.
Really glad you enjoyed your visit.
Sorry no beer on tap, we stopped this a number of years ago and decided to stock bottles beers instead as we are just not busy enough on beers on tap to justify the waste incurred, hope you managed to try some of the locals/Scottish ones we have instead. We are hoping to get some new local ones in soon for more variety.
Hope that we see you again soon.
Many thanks

“A HIDDEN GEM”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Went camping here last weekend for a bit of r & r and really glad we found this place - we went basically to do nothing and relax (which we did), however there is so much to do here it's unbelievable. There's quad biking, mini-quads, water walkers (or 'hamster-balls' as my daughter calls them!!), pottery painting, archery, grass sledging, outdoor play area, the list is almost endless.

We were there in our own tent for 2 nights and had a lovely meal in the restaurant, which has a good variety on the menu to cater for most tastes. In the bar there is a number of specialist ales (my favourite was 'Latitude' ale from the Orkney Brewery, a nice, crisp lager with a citrus twist). The service was excellent and they even let us 'borrow' some milk for our morning coffee the next day.

On the camp site we had our pick of the area, and chose nearest the shower block, which actually housed a large kitchen/dining area that was kitted out with 2 ovens, microwave, sink and hot water, fridge, kettle, etc which everyone used - it's absolute luxury for a camper!!! Also on the site was the Wigwams which looked great, we will be returning to try out one of these with the kids. If you are in the Wigwams you can also buy firewood and have a camp fire, unfortunately we could not as the site rules do not allow tents and fires in the same vicinity, which is completely understandable.

The area of Moray itself is stunning, with many beautiful beaches (Lossiemouth is the best one)and wee villages and towns, it makes for the perfect 'get-away-from-it-all' holiday. As ever, there is loads to do if you do your homework, we have been to this area many times with our kids and never fall short of activities.

Will definitely return here in the near future, can't wait!!

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Stayed here for the weekend in a tent. Beautiful view where we were pitched and beside a big drum/wheel where you could light youre own fire. Toilet and shower very nearby. Had an evening meal in the bistro and breakfast the following morning. The food, wine and service were all fantastic and staff very friendly and helpful. Although we did not take part in activities on offer, there appears to be a great selection on offer. We cycled to findhorn from here which is well worth a visit. Will definately recommend to others.

“Fun filled weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

Have just returned from my sisters hen weekend at the loft.

First we did a bit of archery which I wasn't to sure about....it was brilliant and we all got a bit competitive and improved so much as the hour went on.

I now want a quad, we had excellent time on our one hour trek and saw some beautiful scenery. Instructor made sure that we were all looked after and moved us around so the more confident ones were not stuck behind the less confident. We only had one crash which wasn't bad for 9 girls!!

Then we did 2 hours of laser tag which was just brilliant. We all had great fun racing about hiding in the bushes with our camouflage and face paints on and laughed a lot.

Then we went to do some nice relaxing pottery. Lots of different things to paint in a range of prices, even had some wine while doing this.

Must not forget the fabulous massages, where we were welcomed into the owners house where there is a chill out room with relaxing music, big cushions and nice aromas.

We have come home refreshed, a little achy and with lots of fantastic memories :-)
