“Great place to see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

Wow, when you go down the steep steps you get the best view of the castle. So still and quite. Breath taking views. Well worth a visit.

“Must also see the Castle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

We arrived and first went and saw the castle down the hill... I highly recommend the walk! Its not overly advertised, but its a beautiful ruins set in a gorgous wooded ravine. Its mostly on private property so you cant go in, but its still very cool to see and take photos of. The way to get there is take a small road that is about 100 yds in front of the chapel gift shop, go down a short ways and take the first left. Its probably about 500 yards down that road, around a curve or two. As to the chapel, it was very stunning seeing all of the stone carving even though many of them are erroded somewhat.

“Stunning and Serene”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

I agree with my fellow reviewers - there isn't a great deal to see - but that did not concern me. The walk down from Rosslyn Chapel was delightful, passing the graveyards you are engulfed in a sence of history and serene silence.
I admit that my visit was generated by watching " The Da Vinci Code " and it was spectacular to see some of the beautiful film backdrops used in the closing scenes of the movie.
Worth the walk - yes ( it will take you about 8 - 10 minutes ) Stunning and Serene
