On arrival we were welcomed with tea and home made scones/jam/cream by Kath. The house is fitted out with considerable style as a genteel Victorian establishment but with modern plumbing! Our en-suite first floor room was very comfortable with great views over the nearby harbour and even closer beach: Oyster Catchers, Cormorants and the ubiquitous gulls together with dogs chasing sticks at the foot of the shining sea, this is why you come to a place like Port St Mary and a B&B as well located as Aaron House.
Breakfast is a feast, served by the other half of this hospitable team, Reg, who can cheer up any morning - no room for grumpy early risers here! A fine spread of cereals and fruit (changing every morning) is accompanied by the usual hot cooked choices with the addition of delicious Manx Kippers. All the bread is freshly baked by Kath each morning and she also makes the jam and preserves: this "home - baked" theme continues with a plate of warm scones or other such treat to follow! Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, they even saw us off with a fine "continental" style breakfast at 0645 on the day of our departure.
In sum: this is a beautifully located gem run by two lovely people.
