We stayed at the Royal Arran Hotel for 3 nights at the end of March and were given an extremely warm welcome by the current owners, who took over the Hotel last year. We had room 8 which has wonderful views of Whiting Bay and Holy Island and is ideal for bird watching from the window! The en-suite was new, having just been updated as had those of most of the other bedrooms. There is a very comfortable sitting room with an open fire and the dining room is light and airy. Breakfast was freshly cooked with an excellent choice. Although the Hotel does not do evening meals there are several restaurants within easy reach, and it does have a drinks licence. Despite the weather we were able to see quite a bit of the Island and the Royal Arran Hotel is very well placed for touring, as well as being only 15 mins from the ferry.
