An excellent 2 night stay. Adele and Peter were extremely welcoming and helpful and even arranged the most glorious weather! We were very comfortable and really enjoyed beautiful breakfasts in the gracious dining room and what a lovely surprise the home baked treats were for us to enjoy later in the day! Would encourage others to try and stay longer not only to enjoy the comforts and hospitality at the Royal Arran but to be able to explore more of Arran too.

Room Tip: We had the four poster room. It was very comfortable and had beautiful views out to sea.

Have just spent a very enjoyable and comfortable three nights at the Royal Arran. Adele and Peter go out of their way to make you welcome and at ease and treat their guests as they themselves would like to be treated. On arrival Adele came out to the car park to greet us and followed this up with a welcome tray of tea and beautiful home baking in the lounge after she had shown us our room. We had the four poster room with a lovely view over the front garden and the waterfront. Like the public rooms it was tastefully furnished and decorated in keeping with the style of the house, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our room also had a well stocked hospitality tray, ample toiletries and towels in the en suite, fresh flowers in the room and a carafe of fresh water each night. Breakfasts were superb and freshly cooked to order and each morning Adele provided a small home baked treat of the day to follow. Bedtime stories (brief notes about the history and places of interest on the island) left on the pillow each evening were interesting and informative and another unexpected but enjoyable little extra. Peter and Adele's advice about places to visit and where to eat was spot on and they were kind enough to make reservations. This really great place to stay.

We stayed at the Royal Arran Hotel for 2 nights and we were treated to one of the best b and bs we have been to. From the genuine welcome we got when we arrived, the fantastic room, beautiful breakfast and the cleanliness throughout, it was a treat to stay there. The attention to detail was amazing, the chocolates in the room, the stories about the area on the pillows each evening, the electric blanket switched on before bed and the fresh flowers throughout the accommodation.
Highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights with four of our friends and we all absolutely loved the Royal Arran. The rooms were beautiful, well furnished, immaculate, comfortable and with lots of attention to detail. Toiletries, well stocked hospitality tray, fresh water every day, electric blanket switched on at night, plenty of well placed mirrors, hairdryer. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice and the service was excellent. What really made this hotel special were the extra touches. Lovely treats from Adele every day, cupcakes, meringues, chocolate brownies and the bedtime stories about the history of Arran which were really informative. Top marks to Peter & Adele for an outstanding place to stay.

We stayed for three days 17th to 20th August. This is quite simply the best b and b we've ever stayed in. The attention to detail was fantastic and Adele made us feel incredibly welcome. She thought of everything and as a seasoned traveller I can quite honestly say that I have never experienced better hospitality. The evening ' turn back' was a welcome treat and I loved the bedtime stories! The room was beautiful - tasteful and with a fantastic view. Comfy bed. Housekeeping was top notch and food delicious. I can't wIt to go back!

Wow, cannot praise this place enough. Adele our host was an amazing lady, we had a lovely warm welcome with afternoon tea in our private patio garden (incredible cupcakes by the way!) which was such a nice gesture. The list goes on and on of the lovely things she did for us, bedtime stories on our pillows in the evening, treats in the morning to take away for the day, fresh flowers in our rooms and really yummy breakfasts! She also directed us to a great place for seal spotting and we were delighted that we got to see some before we left the island! Everything about the Royal Arran was great and relaxing, there were even ducklings and bunnies running around the garden!
Thank you so much for making our weekend as amazing as it was, we can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: our room was on the ground floor. It was lovely and quiet and had it's own private patio and an...

After staying in a Swiss 5-star-hotel very recently, the Royal Arran hotel definitely deserves more than 5! Adele and Peter really care for the details and go that extra mile, that makes you feel like a VIP. From a superb breakfast with a daily "treat" from the kitchen for the day, the priceless tips about walks and sights and local maps that can be used all day, the great recommendations on dinner places, to the bedtime story on your pillow after returning at night, there's nothing more you could wish for. Despite peak season and busy days, they even managed to spare a minute for a chat every day.
This place is a gem- highly recommended!
