“A gem of a place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

Who could imagine that a small shack beside the pier in Lochranza could offer so much? We bought sandwiches and cookies here as we left Arran, otherwise we would have been back. They were delicious and cheap compared to most delicatasens. The espressos came in a range of strengths and although a macciato was not on the menu, they did one for me. They also offer Arran ice cream (wonderful stuff), cold drinks and a range of small gift items and several varieties of midge repellant. Given that there is no other shop in Lochranza, this is very useful. Picnic tables outside and seats (and swings) on the opposite side of the road near the pier make it a great place to stop for lunch on a trip round Arran. They also do hog roasts at weekends. Closed Wednesdays.

“Excellent pit-stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

We came here for a sandwich while our vehicle was in the queue for the ferry to Claonaig. The sandwiches were excellent, great rolls, freshly prepared fillings.

Only thing to watch out for is this place can get very busy just before the ferry sails. As your sandwich will take maybe 10mins to prepare at busy times, try and leave enough time. We just made it!

“Lovely fresh sandwiches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

Used a couple of times when in Arran. Sandwiches are made to order. Large choice of fillings. Fresh and well presented. Reasonably priced. Very good value. Picnic tables outside. Only negative was seeing families with young kids go between the sandwich shop for ice creams and the swings located on the other side of the road as it is located near a corner of the road.

“Watch out you could miss it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

My wife and I were on holiday on Arran in July this year for a week. We were out for a drive to Lochranza and came across The Sandwich Station hidden just to the side of the road. We got parked nearby and went in for a quick cuppa. My wife had the soup and I had a Latte and a bit of tray bake.

Nice selection of snacks/drinks for such a small place and the guy serving was very pleasant and had nice manner.

Recommended for a quick pit stop.
