“Excellent well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Spending Christmas as usual visiting relatives on the Isle of Arran I was delighted to learn the Old Pier Tearoom had returned to high standards it had under the Lindsey (old owner). Soups are fantastic and custom service fabulous as are the homemade breads. One person in my group has a problem with flashing lights. As she came into the Cafe the people serving remembered this from her previous visit and without asking turned them off their Christmas lights. Fabulous food and service.

“Good Basic Home Cooking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

As a couple we visited here. Had cooked breakfasts they were very good, basic home cooking and not greasy. They sell decaf coffee. Also took buns for the day`s travel away with us...They have a variety of fillings for buns... The service was friendly. It is a small compact tea room, not much space. The window seats are just fine... Can`t fault this place on the day we went to visit....

“Warm welcome and scrummy food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

We visited this small unobtrusive tearoom for lunch after a brisk wet walk along Lamlash Bay. We got a lovely warm welcome with a wonderful warming lunch. Fantastic home made sweet red pepper soup with Harissa and homemade bread, a fantastic homemade sausage roll ( more like a mini pork and leek plait) with side salad and the best cheesiest cheese scones ever, warm from the oven. Great hot chocolate and really decent coffee to round off. If we had any more room we could not have resisted the amazing array of home made cakes. Around £13 for the lot and well worth it.
Simply a great little tearoom with a welcoming buzz. Waitress service, nice and informal? Highly recommend.

Lovely tearoom with a cosy ambience. Food very good, presentation lovely, homemade cakes which look too good to eat. Everything made fresh and the home made soups look delicious.
