“A must when in Arran!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

Had a lovely meal on Sunday night whilst visiting the island with my husband and daughter - pre dinner gin and tonics were the best I had had on the island and the food was fabulous - Lamlash mussels for all 3 of us followed by lamb tangine ,roast lamb with all the trimmings and a hearty portion of fish and chips - all 3 of us were not disappointed. The front of house service was excellent very welcoming and friendly - we will definitely be making a return visit!!

“More than worthy of a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

We are real foodies and eat out often home and abroad. I enjoy cooking and am often disappointed, knowing that I could have produced something better at home.

Having had a holiday house in Lamlash for the last 5 years it is a pleasure that we now have a new, local bar/restaurant, which offers great food, friendly, knowledgeable service, all in a relaxed atmosphere. The specials menu varies regularly and makes excellent use of local produce - particularly fish and seafood when available. Fine dining, quality dishes, mixed with gastro pub options and children's' menu - they step up to the plate,. Super outside eating space in good weather with great views and also dog friendly.

Ami, Euan and their staff deserve to do well. The Drift Inn is hard to beat for quality, service and value for money.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review and for highlighting what we are trying to achieve with our menu. Although we think it is important to have some good pub classics available, we also want our chef's to have a bit of fun and inspiration with good local produce which they can showcase in the weekly specials. It is reaffirming to know that our customers notice and appreciate this!
I would only like to point out to others who may read this, that although we welcome dogs in our beer garden and are happy to provide water bowls and treats, we are unable to allow dogs into the bar/dining room due to health and safety.
Thanks again and we look forward to serving you in the future!

“Drift in to the Drift Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

The Drift Inn, Lamlash, Isle of Arran opened under the new leaseholders Euan and Ami on Easter Monday after holding the lease for only 4 weeks. The place is unrecognisable from the old place and all to the good. Euan and Ami and staff have done an excellent job in recreating this place making it a beautiful place to be with great food and great ales that are out of the ordinary. The atmosphere is fantastic as are the views to Holy Isle. A great credit to the professionalism of Euan, Ami and staff.

“Beautiful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

From the outside many would bypass however we would highly recommend you going inside. Beautifully decorated and in the winter a roaring fire is just what is needed. We were there for a wedding so hog roast etc I think is different from the normal menu however friendly staff and nice bar... Just what is needed on Arran.

“Lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

Both my partner and I went for lunch here today. It was lovely. Food was delicious and staff very friendly and attentive. From the outside looks like a typical scottish old man's pub but on the inside its clean and modern. We had a 3 course lunch for £13 each which is a bargin considering what u get. Definitely worth a visit
