We have just had a 3 night stay at this hotel. The Isle of Arran is a magical, peaceful place and I can certainly recommend it. I had booked a superior room for 2 (plus dog) at £90 per room per night B&B. The room was quite small though there was a patio area which was lovely. There were tea and coffee making facilities but no room service or telephone - but you do go there for peace and quiet so this was quite acceptable. My only gripe is that breakfast is not served till 8.30am so when we were going island hopping and catching an early ferry I asked if we could have an early breakfast or a packed lunch put up. We were told that early breakfast was not available but we could either make our own tea and toast or have a packed lunch. We opted for the latter. What a disappointment! Two slices of dry bread that had been shown the butter dish and filled with processed ham and cheese and an apple. Now at £45 per person B&B I expected slightly more. The views from the restaurant are amazing and the whole area is a treat for the senses. And no street lights!! Some visitors may be put off by the proximity of the camping and caravan site adjacent to the hotel but there was no noise from there but it did make the hotel rather busy at times. All in all a wonderful area but we felt that we were paying for the views rather than the hotel accommodation itself.
