“perfect lunchtime venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

perfectly located to grab some sustenance after climbing Goat Fell. very friendly and efficient service - the cullen skink was a meal in itself! Great selection of scones and cakes if you've a sweet tooth.

“Arran beers on Cask!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

Perfect place for a lunch, beer or a snack back from Goatfell. Arran beers on cask and some very decent food. For veggies as well. Lot of tables outside to catch some sun while sipping on your beer. Don't come later than 5pm, altough they close at 7pm staff wants to leave early and they'll let you know by putting at the chairs on top of the tables around you.

“Excellent Food and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

We had lunch in The Wineport bistro (there is also an adjoining restaurant) and were very impressed by the food - home made soup was lovely and the filled rolls very generous in size and filling. Like a lot of place on this island the home baking was fantastic and The Wineport offers a great selection of cakes and desserts. There is limited eating space inside the bistro but there is also a large outside seating area. Staff were friendly and efficient.

“Yummy food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

The wineport at the entrance of Goatfell path. Very fresh food. I and my husband had lunch there on Saturday after going up on Goatfell. Although we left there £ 41 for 2 fish and chips (one only with salad), 1 pint, 2 coffees, 2 banana loaf and 1 carrot cake – both home made, and 7 ice-cream scoops, the food looked and tasted very fresh. We've been served very fast. The battered haddock was light, thin and crispy and the cakes just yummy. We shared the carrot cake, it was big enough for both. Highly recommended. When we will go again on Arran, will know where to eat.

“Superb service”

In both on way up and down Goatfell. Lovely ice cream on way up and lovely couple of drinks after. On both occasions staff were a delight. So helpful and friendly. Thank you!
