“Great guide made the tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Interesting and enjoyable tour of the distillery. It really is like it is portrayed in the adverts and all the staff seem genuinely proud of its success. Our guide, Randy, was straight out of central casting! brilliant personality and approach and he certainly knew his stuff. Tennessee should bottle him and export him worldwide!

“Lots of fun, and I don't even like whiskey!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

The free tour is great, offers an educational and fun experience unique to the area. The tour guide, Chris?, was a lot of fun, and really tried to make it individualized to each member of our group. Their is a little town right around the corner, with some great barbecue places and gift shops to spend another hour or two afterward.

“Fascinating insight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Nestled in a beautiful wooded valley surrounded by hills. You need several hours to do this free visit justice. The scenery alone is wonderful. The visitor centre is large and roomy and nicely styled and decorated. The insight into the history behind the famous brand is very interesting. Discover the tragedy behing a bit of "bad temper" by JD. Your guided tour goes through the whole process. Discover all the wonderfull old oak beamed warehouses scattered across the hillside.Literally "there is a fortune in them there hills". Unfortunately you only get to smell the product as it is a dry state and you cannot try a drink. However, all is not lost as you can buy the whole range at their own gift shop - the White Rabbit. Afterwards walk into town (very near) and wander around the many associated shops, bars and cafes. Well worth the effort. Excellent hald day out.

“Great free tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Fascinating tour of the JD distillery, even though I hate the stuff!!.
We had to wait about 45 mins for our tour, but there is lots to read and look at while you wait.
Our guide on the hour long tour was informative and very entertaining.
No free samples as Lynchburg is a dry county, but you can buy bottles on site and in the town center nearby.

“GREAT place to visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Great tour, history, staff, and whiskey. Lots of interesting information presented by a tour guide that was as entertaining as informative.

I would have liked to have gone to the tasting room without taking the tasting tour. That wrinkle might have something to do with Jack Daniel's distillery being located in a dry county.

Definitely recommend a stop at the Jack Daniel's Distillery.
