Rooms are also lovely and clean and beautiful view from our window. Thanks to all the staff in the craws nest.

I went to my aunts golden wedding in March with my 7 year old daughter. The dinner dance was brilliant, saw he last preformance of the resident band which had been playing for decades. A really proper old fashioned night out - no piped music proper "live" entertainment. Rooms great value not London prices. Breakfast to die for. All staff very friendly except the lady who run reception who was colder than the East Wind! Can't wait for my next trip, once the witch of the East has gone "ding dong, the witch is dead the withch is dead"!!

I know Fife is an expensive corner of the planet, but the £115 per room per night b&b was robbery for this place. If it had of been £50 a night the horrid decor, the strong odour of shake'n'vac and the luke warm drizzle of a shower might have been funny. Even the restaurant charges Ritz prices and delivers road side cafe standard of food and service.

Stayed there recently over the December period. Great atmospher with very friendly and helpful staff. They run a dinner/dance every Saturday with their resident band - The Phoenix Four - who performed really well and had us all up ancing the night away. Highly recommended. It was great to get a traditional dance again including some good old Scottish jigs!!

Well done Sandy and Eleanor on such a well run hotel!

“Excellent place to stay”

The Craw's Nest Hotel is an excellent place to stay if you love your golf as it is situated in Anstruther only 9 miles from St Andrews but with the bonus of not costing St Andrews prices. The rooms have all recently been renovated and all have en-suite facilities, some even have 4 poster beds for that romantic occasion ! The food, wow, the food is outstanding with wide selections to choose from at lunchtime and for your evening meal with some of the freshest most gorgeous tasting fish you will ever get the chance to taste and the added extra is its all caught and landed by the fishing fleet from the neighbouring village of Pittenweem. Every member of staff met gave us the impression that along with the food they were the reason that this family run hotel has succeeeded for over 35 years and nothing was too much trouble for them, even the slightly more obscure things ! There is 3 bars in the hotel, one which has satellite television showing all the golf and other sports you can handle and even have a very good cocktail, malt and liqueur list to chose from. The family who run the hotel are a weel known and respected family in the small area known as the East Neuk of Fife (meaning east corner) which comprises of several villages and its easy to see why after speaking to them for a while as they always make plenty of time for all their guests whether its an ordinary person through to the celebs that sometimes stay at the hotel due to a close friendship with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and also the fact that they have a daughter,Edith, who is quite famous in her own right who has her own Radio 1 show and appears on TV almost every day. All in all The Craw's Nest Hotel is excellently run and you will always feel right at home from the minute you walk in the door till the minute you leave again and we will be back many many times !
