Excellent service, excellent food, with some very nice bread and olives to start with, and lovely amuse Boucher in between the courses. Our waiter was very good and knowledgeable. Excellent real ale in the bar beforehand, and the Baldrick Shiraz was first class. One star lost for a couple of negative points, though. My main was sirloin, priced at £29.50 on the menu. However when the bill came it was charged at five pounds more which was the price for fillet, and the change had not been made when the menu had been changed. A bit sloppy. Also, Malcolm Duck came to introduce himself and ask if we were happy which was good of him, but then he actually started discussing politics, which is a little tactless.
