We had a lovely dinner here this evening. The bistro was quiet, it being late on a Sunday evening, but service was good and the owner Malcolm came over to welcome us, which was lovely. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere on a dark evening with candles on each table, muted colours and comfy seating. I'd like to return in the summer when the doors out to the courtyard would be open.
The food was delicious, a very tasty duck liver parfait and I overdosed on a main corse bowlful of seafood chowder which was very, very rich. Heartburn rich. We also had a glass of the house merlot which I can highly recommend.
