“A pleasure to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

The House of Darrach is always a pleasure from the efficient, attentive staff, ambience, super food to the attention to detail. I've now been there three times and have never been disappointed. The decor is lovely, clean, fresh and tastefully done. The staff are hard working & eager to please. The food is fresh & tasty and mainly homemade. This is a licensed restaurant so a glass of what you fancy is always welcome. Afternoon tea is amazing with an array of fresh sandwiches with 3 different fillings. scones & cakes are fab with loads of choice (not take what you get). Whether you want a light lunch, afternoon tea or a meal you won't be disappointed. The adjacent shop is a great place to browse I bought anchovies & balsamic vinegar but equally I could have bought a tea set or a blouse. What a wee treasure trove. They do afternoon tea so much better than the big city hotels in Glasgow - well done!
