“Highly Recommended B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Stayed here for 2 nights with my Mother on a weekend trip to Wareham. Had booked this B&B due to the positive reviews on TripAdvisor and I was very glad I did. Location on the main Sandford Road about 2 miles from Wareham town centre. On quite a busy road but you don't hear any traffic once inside. Ample parking in the driveway. Our room was a lovely twin at the back of the house, overlooking the lovely peaceful garden. Room was very clean and tastefully decorated and had tea/coffee (fresh milk) and a bottle of water provided. Huge bathroom with bathroom supplies if required. There was a TV/DVD player (and a selection of DVD's and books to borrow if required) and if you had time to use! Breakfast was great with a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cooked breakfast, toast & preserves and juice and / or tea & coffee. Denise and Sean were lovely hosts, very friendly and interested in their guests without being too obtrusive, gave us some recommendations for eating out....Sean also makes lovely poached eggs! Would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending 2 Heath Cottages.

This is a lovely B&B. Denise and Sean made us feel welcome throughout out stay. Our room and en-suite were huge (which was fabulous). There was an extensive breakfast menu and the food was great. The B&B offer packed lunches which we thought was a brilliant idea. The packed lunches were only £4.50 and there were lots of options. This B&B is a great location for exploring the Purbeck area as nothing is too far away.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Oak room where there was a great view of the garden and woods. Great birds on your...

We arrived 3 hours earlier that we had advised but was given a great welcome with tea and biscuits in the garden under a shady umbrella as it was extremely hot and sunny. The room "Oak" we had booked was at the rear of the property with a large bathroom/shower room and a large comfortable super king bed. Everything was extremely clean and well appointed and Sean and Denise appeared to be super organised and had thought of everything to make it a hitch free stay. It was nice to meet and talk to the other guests over a well prepared and multi choice breakfast. We had not visited this part of the UK before and really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Oak at the rear and found it excellent

Stayed here for two nights during a recent visit to Dorset. We wanted to be close to Wareham and selected the accomodation on the strength of reports from previous guests who seemed to suggest that this was a superb place to stay. My wife and I fully concur with this opinion, 2 Heath Cottages really is an excellent little spot. On arrival, we were greeted and received most warmly by our hosts, Denise and Sean. We immediately stepped into a most pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Everything from arrival to departure was superbly organised in a most quite and unobtrusive manner. Room, breakfast (choice of) were both first class and with comfortable parking on site, this really is an excellent place to stay. Finally, Denise and Sean are most pleasant people who try very hard to make their guests feel welcome and their stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: My wife and I stayed in 'Apple'. Lovely room.

My mum and I recently stayed here for 1 night, which we quickly realised wasn't long enough to appreciate the lovely accommodation and scenery. Sean & Denise were delightful hosts making us instantly feel comfortable and relaxed. They advised us on where we could find somewhere to eat and what was around the area as we had never been to Dorset before. We stayed in the 'Oak' room which we had as a luxury twin, and it definitely felt luxurious. Everything from the décor, furniture, finishing touches and cleanliness couldn't have been better than it was. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and there was plenty of it. We will definitely be returning and I can't recommend this place enough. Simply stunning!

Room Tip: The 'Oak' room has a view of the garden and from laying on the bed you can see just trees ou...

My wife and I stayed for a week at 2 Heath Cottages at the end of June 2013 on the strength of previous glowing reviews on this site. They weren't wrong! As described by others, Denise and Sean are the most genial of hosts. During our stay they struck the perfect balance between providing the personal touch, when requested, but also providing space and freedom to do our own thing in a relaxed and friendly way.

We stayed in the smaller Beech room at the front of the house which still had plenty of room for my wife's immense wardrobe (!) and was perfect for a couple. We slept very well throughout the stay in a very comfortable, huge double bed and the cleanliness and facilities were top notch. The breakfast menu caters for all manner of tastes. Denise's attentiveness was first class when serving and Sean's kitchen duties couldn't be faulted.

The icing on the cake of this B&B is the location. It's on a main road but, due to soundproofing, traffic noise is almost non existant, whilst also having the advantage of a major Dorset bus route with a stop yards from the front entrance. We combined bus trips to Bournemouth; Swanage and Poole during the day with short bus journeys to excellent local bar/restaurants in the evening allowing us to leave the car in the driveway and relax with a drink etc. The few times we used the car was mainly for 3 trips to the world class Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre which is also only 8 miles away.

If you are looking for superb hospitality, unparalleled value for money B&B accommodation with a perfect location to take your pick of "things to do", then don't even think of looking elsewhere. Let your day dawn with Denise and Sean !

This was our second visit and it was great, Sean and Denise run a lovely place, we were in the Beech room which looks out the front but not a sound from the road, slept like a log in a huge bed.
We will sure to be back again.
