“what a lovely meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

we went (3 couples) to the kings arms on Saturday the 24th august, it was a bank holiday weekend and as you could imagine it was very busy, we were welcomed with a smile and was served very quickly, we had a drink at the bar and was offered the menu's to look at, we made our order while sat at the bar, after a short while we was informed that our starters were almost ready we were shown to our table by a very happy young lady, we all enjoyed our food both starters and main's, which were all served with a smile, the food displayed on the plate was lovely it was obviously created by a chef that loves his work,
my compliments to all the staff for making it possible for us to really enjoy our evening,
to finish the food and service were second to none.
we went back there on Monday and had a repeated experience,
we will be going back there soon.

“Dissapointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Was taken there today as a birthday treat.
It is a lovely building and very nice inside, we found the waitress was very friendly and helpful, we were served quickly and the food was delivered promptly, but no where near the standard we expected.
It was a shame - we were all looking forward to this meal and were very disappointed.
We have visited their sister pub "The Kings Arms" @ Longham a number of times and have always been very impressed.

“Fab food, friendly service and beautiful country pub interiors.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

Had a lovely evening meal here tonight. The pub looks great inside and out. A modern take on country pub style, really smart but comfortable. The menu is varied and we all found something we wanted to eat and all enjoyed it. The best bit was the homemade strawberry shortcake dessert! Happily polished off! Will definitely be back! Lovely place, good atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Definitely recommend!

“Lovely, tasty and very very hot pub lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Went for a pub lunch for 5. Salmon and steak / ale pies all round. Extremely hot pies but still very tasty, although a spoon would have been helpful for the delicious gravy! Miserable waitress who would not crack a smile.

“Quaint pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

Took my family for an evening meal on a Friday night. When I booked they could only squeeze us in the bar but fortunately a table in the restaurant became available which they gave to us. The staff were very friendly, the food fresh and well prepared. There is good choice on the menu. Would recommend it
