“excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

You won't go wrong coming here for something to eat. Their homemade quiche are the best anywhere. Everything is made on the premises with locally sourced ingredients. Homemade soups are a winner too. Portions are plentiful. The coffee is great too. But best of all , for me. They allow dogs in. Always a winner in my eyes.

“Boiled Coffee”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

I just wanted a coffee but It was so hot it scalded my throat. You can only get coffee that hot when you heat it up in a microwave. As it was Sunday March 30 3;30pm they may have heated up some old coffee they had left over from lunch. When it cooled down it was week and insipid. I imagine this is not their usual way of making coffee maybe some trainee with initiative decided they would use up the dregs. The food that I saw on display looked very good and maybe I'll try them out for food one day.

“lovely shop and cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

We popped into The Salt Pig on recommendation from our hosts when staying in Wareham. We bought their bacon and sausages to have for breakfast and they were really delicious! A lovely little shop.

“Good fresh food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

We decided to try salt pig one lunch time after reading its reviews, we were not disappointed, it was good value and the food was fresh. the seating was a little cramped however that did not deter from the food.

“Make a pig of yourself!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014 via mobile

This has an unassuming frontage but an enticing display of fresh meats and fish. There is another seating area at the rear should the front room appear busy.
There is s goof selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate as well as nice wines.
There's a good variety of hot meals - stews, pies and fantastic quiches and salads when
I went.
Service was earnest and helpful from all the staff snd prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food.
Eateries in Wareham seem to come and go but this has been open a few years mow and is the best place to go on Wareham for food (assuming you don't want to splash out and eat at The Priory)
Top marks Salt Pig.
