“Everything was perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

A group of four of use stayed for one night in April 2013. The welcome was perfect, the rooms were perfect and the following morning the breakfast was perfect. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are tastfully decorated, extremely clean and everything worked. We had an excellent choice at breakfast and all tastes and fads were catered for. We will in the area again in the Autumn and will definately stay again.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to give us a review, your opinion is really important to us and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you back in the Autumn and we'll do our best to make sure your return visit is as good as or even better than your first one. We've made a few enhancements to the rooms since last week, so a comparison opinion will be great. Thanks again. Leigh

Visited Corfe Castle for a weekend and stayed at this little gem in the heart of the village, what an awsome and beautiful place to stay, the room was amazing, very stylish and cosy with beautiful original features.
The bed was so comfortable you will sleep like a baby and the room was spotless too.
Olivers is under new managment and they were very warm, friendly and welcoming.
It is situated in the heart of the village and you cant miss it, ideal if you want to come and visit Corfe castle which is a 2 min walk away or to go to the beach which is a short 5 min drive.
Before we left we had a delicious full English breakfast, great quality and good portion sizes, and no sign of any grease!
I would thoroughly recommend this B&B if you're staying in the area, great service, great value. We will definitely be staying again.

The new proprietress, Leigh, was extremely friendly and helpful: nothing was too much trouble for her as far as her guests were concerned. The rooms and restaurant were beautifully kept, food was good (and plenty of it), and the location was spot on...a short stroll amongst the very quaint and pretty cottages to the village centre (strongly recommend The Greyhound whether its for a cream tea, a meal or just a drink),Castle and station for a trip on the steam train. I would definately recommend Olivers - you'll want to stay longer.

Room Tip: The twin room is on the first floor and has views to the front looking out on the pretty cottages op...

A wonderful place to stay -- right in the middle of Corfe Castle village, a short walk from pubs, eateries and the castle itself. It's quaint and characterful from the outside, but clean, modern and spacious on the inside -- the attention to detail was very apparent. Oliver's is now under new management, and we received a very warm, friendly welcome. Great breakfast too! Highly recommended.

The owners of this B&B had just sold up at the time of our visit for our wedding anniversary weekend. In view of that, things may well change after my review. Given that the proprietress was leaving and therefore didn't really need to care much about the perception of her guests, this was a really excellent stay and we were thoroughly looked after. The location was very handy for the village centre but just tucked away enough for the main road to be lovely and peaceful.

We had booked Room 4 which is at the top of the building but there had been some recent slight water ingress through the roof of this room. It also apparently gets a bit chilly up there in the winter. Armed with this knowledge and having looked at both rooms, we decided to take the smaller but very warm and cosy Room 3 on the floor below.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. The riser rail on the shower didn't work properly and there was no shelf for toiletries in the shower cubicle (and only a tiny one in the bathroom itself) but that's real knit picking. We had a lovely stay and were really impressed to have a comprehensive and delicious full English breakfast served in our room. The owner was very friendly and took plenty of time to talk to us about the area and the beautiful village of Corfe Castle itself.

Highly recommended and very reasonably priced. Hopefully the new owners will be as welcoming and the standard will remain as high.

This b&b is on the quieter side of town, in a lovely terraced cottage with a nice little outdoors space to the rear (not that the weather allowed for full enjoyment of this!). It's ideally positioned to potter back to after an evening in one of the local watering holes, and has a great view up the street to the castle when you step out in the morning.

I stayed in what the website refers to as "Room 2", and I have to say that it was a great deal nicer in person than my initial impressions of the website pics. I think the lighting in the pic makes it look a tiny bit plain, but it had a much better ambiance in person. It was extremely comfortable, and had every facility that I could have wished for from a b&b. It all felt extremely cosy to return to after a day out and about in the Dorset Autumn. Like a good b&b, it had the feeling of staying with generous friends (ie they make your bed and clean for you!) rather in a hotel.

You might find that you have to park a couple of hundred metres down the street in a little car park after dropping off bags etc. but you can't fault the b&b for this, and you wouldn't want cars cluttering up the picturesque streets anyhow. Our host, who was faultless in her approach, was more than happy to advise on this, and our interactions with her were always pleasant. I overheard her giving transport advice to a couple that had arrived by bus too.

Breakfast was most agreeable, with hot options as well as the usual buffet fruit/cereal/yogurt choices, and is served in a cosy wood panel-lined room in the back of the restaurant downstairs. This was actually closed (I think pending the appointment of a chef) on my visit, but was not an issue as there are enough pubs and even a fine dining option in town.

Corfe is a lovely place to base yourself for exploring Dorset, and this is a perfect choice. I've got nothing but good memories of my stay here.

Room Tip: I think exposed beams impart extra character to the upstairs rooms (3&4?) but there is absolutel...

Having driven 150 miles to discover The Bankes Arms that we had booked on the Internet had gone out of business, we were very pleased to find a space at Oliver's. Donna was lovely and took us in straight away. The room was great, very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was of a good standard and plentiful, with options for all tastes and appetites. Unfortunately Donna is in the process of selling up, I hope the next owners do the place justice.
