“Not sure I want to share this little gem with others”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

This is such a great little place. It's not commercialised. You can just turn up, walk around the little lake, browse the couple of shops and leave without spending any money. There is no entrance charge. If you want food or drink then the tea rooms are excellent. Not the cheapest around but acceptable. A really interesting range of sandwiches, some good cakes and if course the cream teas.
Fabulous setting.

“Step into Paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is a lovely place to go, not just for dining, but also for the magnificent lake with lots of wildlife, and you can walk around and feed the ducks, swans, geese, chickens. Superb even in the winter to browse on a sunny cold day. The cafe on site is also very good, and you can get a varied menu.
Also there are some craft shops in the grounds as well, Why not wile away a few hours in this lovely spot. Also a old water mill is there too.

“take your friends”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

This is a pretty spot and a good place for tea after a long walk. There is a good choice of food and service is good - maybe because we come here often we have got complacent!

“Charming and delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

Deep in the heart of rural Dorset, the mill, tea room and craft centre is totally unspoilt and full of charm. We had a lovely unfussy lunch, followed by a beautiful homemade cake served by a smiley helpful girl. We then visited the craft centre where we were greeted like old friends!
We thought it is a shame that they have no website, but then I don't think Brigadoon had internet access either!

“Step back in time....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

A beautiful setting, perfect for lunches and teas sat outside by the old water mill on a sunny day... nothing more English than this. The inside tearoom is delightful too. Plenty to enjoy with the arts and crafts shops also a pleasent walk around the lake, what more could you ask for? We have visited several times this year with different friends and it never fails to impress us.
