“Great food, long queue!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

We visited this chip shop during a busy August week, every time we passed we saw a long queue from the door down the pavement. But the food was delicious, not cheap for a takeaway chip shop meal, however if you are willing to queue for about forty minutes to taste the delights then no problem. We all had the cod and chips and it was superb!!

“Fish and chip Success”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

Just what we needed, decent fish and chips, fair price, quick service, couldn't fault it. Will be back again next year!

“Decent chippy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Judging by the queues, this is a popular little place in Woolacombe! You're advised to order things like scampi, haddock, burgers etc. on arrival so it can be prepared while you queue - good idea as the wife's scampi was ready just about the time I hit the front of the queue. Sadly they were out of steak and kidney pies so I had a fishcake instead. My 5 year old daughter loved her "coddies" and chips, served in a "Happy Meal" style box with toy, not something you see every day from a back-street chippy!

Overall pretty standard but decent fare. The staff, despite being very pressed with such a queue, were very friendly and cheerful.

“Great food, worth the wait”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Cant fault the food at this place, you get what you wish for. Good fish & chips.
Ate them by the beach for a great seaside feel.
Only downside was the queue, but that shows its a winner.

“lovely food right near seafront.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Stayed in Woolacombe for a week last month, and on 2 of the evening's I went in here for some grub. Both times was about 9 in the evening and were still cooking fresh and people queuing up, so I guess this place must be popular.
Prices were about the same as most chip shops, but quality wise this place was very nice .
Looks very clean and hygienic inside and out which also encourages people in.

Is right in the little town of Woolacombe, and both evening's I crossed the road, went through the car park and sat on a bench for half hour , enjoying my jumbo sausage and chips while over looking the beautiful seafront Woolacombe has to offer.

I would highly recommend this chippy to anyone.
