“Lovely beach for walking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Large beach with nice flat sands which is excellent for long walks. Excellent for bathing in the summer time.

“Beautiful beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

A gorgeous beach with golden sands and a very nice walk, can imagine in the summer it gets very busy but in January was still very impressive and well worth a wander.

“Big but busy.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Spent one afternoon here in August.

During peak season this is a very busy beach. It's wide, but also very deep. Access does involve stairs.

There are plently of small shops nearby offering various surf/tourist goods, as well as a smattering of cafes.

On the beach itself there are volleyball courts and various burger / ice cream vans situated around.

It is very busy, but large enough for everyone to get their own space. We ended up playing cricket!

“A Very Big Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

We visited during November so did not spend much time on this extensive beach. However we have previously visited during the summer months.

The beach is clean, tidy and very popular with families and surfers.

There are a few shops and cafes in easy reach from the beach.

An interesting point is the beach was used by American troops to practise for the D-Day landings!

“Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

The nicest beach i've seen in the UK. Ideal for building a sandcastle and catching some rays (if the weather doesnt let you down). If you havent been, you MUST visit Woolacombe bay beach.
