We stayed at Millbrook during November for our Honey Moon. We only had a few days but WOW! They looked after us so much, champagne on arrival, candles and romantic music and we loved the hot tub! Millbrook is a fantastic romantic getaway and I couldn't have chosen anywhere better for our honey moon (browny points recieved from my new husband as i booked this!). The Hosts went out of the way to make this a special time. If you are looking for a honey moon location in the UK I highly recommend Millbrook! We have booked again for our anniversary next year!!!!

This break was booked as a well earned break after a manic, hectic and trying year. The pictures on the webste looked fantastic but does no justice at all to Millbrook as a whole.
From the second we arrived at Millbrook we fell in love with the place. The location is tucked away and although a fair drive to the nearest shop was worth it! Note to future guests...if you have a sat nav definately take it!
The grounds and setting are absolutely beautiful, even on a grey and damp Octobers day. We stayed in the Lakeview apartment and would not fault a single thing. Kate and Bob (the owners) have thought of everything you could possibly need, from the well equiped kitchen, the immaculate choice in interior design to the umbrella and torch by the door. The hot tub stuated in a cabin in the woods was just the icing on the cake.
Everything was a absolutely perfect. We can not put into words what an amazing place this really is. Like other former guests we are torn between telling everyone about this place and wanting to keep it a secret from the masses!!
We have just mentioned how we wish it was this time last week so we could start the weekend over! We will defnately go back, even the seven and a half hour drive back in rain and fog hasn't put us off!!

October 2007 finds us arriving at Millbrook for our third stay in 12 months which gives you a fairly good idea of what we think of the place!
This is a truly relaxing haven where you can escape from it all (if you want to!) or use it as a base from which to explore the beautiful areas of North Devon, Exmoor and Dartmoor.
In January we ventured out very little, other than to go up the hill to the local pub for sustenance, and spent our time writing a book together which we have since released!
Millbrook provided the perfect, inspirational setting to allow us to commit our thoughts to paper and gather our ideas together.
With 32 acres of grounds in which to wander with the dogs, sit and contemplate by the lakes or relax in the hot tub in the woods we can unwind, chill out and recharge our batteries.
Our hosts, Kate and Bob work hard to keep their customers satisfied and are constantly adding new touches to make the Millbrook experience even better.
We'll be back again before too long!

We spent 4 nights in the Lakeview Cottage at Millbrook Cottages and it wasn't long enough!! What a wonderful place to relax. The surroundings were beautiful and very peaceful, the cottage itself was a complete sanctuary! Everything was 5 star, wonderful view over the lake, thoughtfully decorated and furnished, amazing bathroom with jacuzzi bath, wonderfully comfortable king size bed. We went on the odd trip out but spent most of our time chilling out at the cottage and in the surroundings. They really have thought of everything and I would highly recommend this place if you need a break from the rat race. I didn't want to leave, it was more comfortable than being at home! Also very green and into recycling etc. which is a great positive! Really hope to go back soon.

Feel very, very guilty as we stayed in Lakeview at Millbrook Cottages last december, and I am only getting round to writing a review!! - so sorry! IT WAS WONDERFUL!!! I am always moaning at the rubbish service that us brits have to put up with so coming here was AMAZING, so looked after, and they have thought of everything. really relaxed and felt so welcomed when we arrived. took the dogs for a walk, well they walked us!! saw the lamas, and then had a hot tub!! i would never imagine a place like this, really is worth it!
