It's a bit scruffy but it's relatively cheap. There's only a municipal car park across the road, which is a pain when it's raining and also means that someone has to leave their bed early in the morning to buy a new ticket. The TV in the room's small and the signal-strength is poor. Having said all that, the bed's clean and comfortable enough and the bathroom is more than adequate (although the plain glass in the window may dismay shy folk).
On arrival some of the bar patrons were a little odd - tattoos, piercings, strange hair and beer-bellies. Some of the men were a little strange, too. A little "Slaughtered Lamb" (reference to "An American Werewolf in London"). We were only there for a few minutes, though, while we checked in.
Breakfast was fine, if unmemorable. A nightcap was also quite acceptable, the eccentric people having left.
I wouldn't queue up to stay here again but, if everywhere else were full, it wouldn't worry me too much, either.
