We arrived at Watersmeet late morning and as our room wasn't ready we sat on the gorgeous sun terrace soaking up the sun rays and relishing in the amazing sea views. We had lunch which was tasty and then moved to the lower gardens to relax in a couple of deckchairs, still completely absorbed in the wonderful views.
Our room (room 7) had an equally amazing view, with almost floor to ceiling windows and a couple of armchairs to sit and watch the sea. The room was luxuriously furnished with a huge bed and plenty of space. We certainly felt spoilt and actually wanted to spend time in our room, as it was all part of the treat!
The lounges and bar areas were just as comfortable and relaxing, but the real highlight was the dining room - a circular room with glass walls to make the most of the sea views. It was incredibly romantic. The food was amazing and although the menu consisted of foods I wouldn't normally choose, every dish was presented well and was incredibly tasty. My personal highlight was the homemade fudge with the tea and coffee - mmmm!! Breakfast was equally as good and was very filling.
In all, a lovely relaxing trip in an incredible location, with beautiful rooms and superb food. We will definitely be back!!
(Incidentally, I noticed an earlier review written by somebody who just walked into the hotel for a couple of drinks. How can they really write a review, especially when one part of the review is about the rooms, and sleep quality? We had a beer, glass of wine and a lemonade when we arrived and it was around £7.)
