“Review of the cafe”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Came here hoping for coffee and cake after an underwhelming meal nearby...waited 5 mins at the counter of the cafe and nobody came to take my order...we ended up walking out. The lake itself is pretty to look at but can't say much for the amenities!

“An escape from the hustle and bustle.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

This man made enormous lake is set in the middle of the Devon countryside and used a a reservoir, it has a large restaurant, clean toilets and visitor centre, large car park again with clean toilets. There is an amazing banqueting suite with a veranda running around it which in the summer is open to overlook the lake which is stunning, it is used for a Sunday Carvery. There are miles of walks around the lake and a few car parks dotted around the perimeter if you don't want to pay to park at the Visitor Centre.

devon has lots of interest very rural and rugged all are diverse and a pleasure to see,and experience .so go to resturants and atractions from the devon tourist guide book from information in cities and towns .farm food shops in the area sell organic and ordinary food some make on the premises on some products are from all over devon and cornwall the tamar vally di#uring the 40's sold and expoted tons of strawberries and the early fruits by rail to london market so the hard workers made cider and orther drinks to feed the farm hand and products from the dingles farm helped that industry in milford so the dingles historic museum was a follow on with its organ ther would be a important thing to see for fun and education if only it were a little more inviting i do hope that is looked into

“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

This venue is OK if you have nothing better to do when you are in the area. The walks are limited and parking expensive for what you get. The cafe is OK if you can find a Member of staff who Isn't chatting out the back. The only plus point is that the cafe has lovely view of he lake.

“A great vista”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

We went in mid-September and it was very breezy but a super view.
I think the 2 pound car park charge is a bit much. It would be better to charge a pound and attract people to the cafe which is pleasant tho' under-promoted.
The walks are great and very accessible.
