“A proper pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2014

The Queen's Arms is well out of the general tourist run in Brixham, being a steep climb from the harbour. For any real-ale lovers, however, it is well worth the trip: if your legs start to give way, console yourself with the thought of the excellent beer waiting at the top!
The Queen's Arms is (deservedly) South Devon Camra pub of the year. There is a regularly-changing array of real ales on offer, as well as a regular "Queen's Arms Defender" for £2.50 a pint.
No food, apart from crisps to soak the beer up, sixties and seventies music in the background, welcoming service and friendly regulars combine to make this a proper pub.

“Several meals over Christmas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Good pub food on offer on several occasions while staying in the village. We were always welcomed, and the staff there were very helpful Parking is not an issue as long as you are eating/drinking at the pub. Good friendly local.

“Good pub grub!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

We recently dined here as a family and enjoyed some hearty pub grubl. The portion sizes were generous and we all enjoyed the traditional look and feel of the pub. I took on the Devonshire Devil curry which was very tasty and not too hot (thank goodnews!!) Dogs are welcome which is something I always appreciate!

“Dinner was good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

The dinner was fine -- adequate by pub standards. Might have been the fact we ere very hungry after a long day of hiking!

“Wonderful pub fantastic welcome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

We were staying in Slapton Village and had had evening meal at the Queens Arms and then lunch with family. We had been to Dartmouth Regatta and it took us hours to get out. When we arrived home (about 9:45) we were desperate for something to eat and the lovely Landlady took us in and very kind Chef cooked us all a wonderful meal. What a wonderful welcome and fanstastic food and amazing value. Will definitely return thanks so much for the great hospitality you really looked after us and made us feel welcome!
