“Best day ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

We were married here, and we could not fault a thing. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding and the staff were so helpful. We stayed in the bridal suite - Camelia, which was absolutely stunning. I wish we could have stayed longer. We had exclusive use so it really did feel like it was ours for the day. Buckland Tout Saints has such a lovely atmosphere, we felt right at home here. Will be going back for our anniversary, if not before!

Room Tip: Camelia suite is the best!

We arrived late in the afternoon at the tourist information center and after trying several properties we settled on Bucklands. It is a classic Country Manor house set in a lovely country setting. The entrance, sitting room, and one of the restuarants is paneled with high lovely ceilings and the atmosphere likens you to an era gone by.

Our room was extremely large as well as the bath- very clean and is as the photos are shown. Dinner is pricey but good and the breakfast was extremely nice with a really good selection of items. Service for breakfast was slow-dinner was at a perfect speed for this type of facility.

Receptionist was charming and very attentive and the grounds were well kept.

I must admit that the place does show wear from the carpets in the rooms to the public toilets- to the aged upholstery on the couch in the sitting area of our room. If they updated those items it would truly be lovely. Facility has many steps & stairs to the rooms so if you have problems climbing them, this charming home is not for you.

Room Tip: When booking make sure to ask what floor and how many stairs- getting into our room- there was also...

Lovely stay, great views and surroundings. Lovely old building with many modern features. Don't stay in room 11 if you're tall, as you won't be able to stand up fully in the bathroom, as my husband (who is 6'2) found out! Otherwise great!

Hotel is excellent in every way except for the young, inexperienced staff. One young lad stamped and sulked his way through evening service. Don't let this put you off, the chef delivers excellent food and the rooms are delightfully furnished. It's a very comfortable, restful retreat, and if they get the staff sorted, it will be amazing.

My husband treat me to a 4 day stay for my 60th birthday, was pleasantly surprised by the size of our room, staff were very helpfull and our breakfast was adequate for us,the drive down the very narrow lanes to get to the hotel was a bit scary on the night time, we would definately stay again
