lovely hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good with a choice of what you want. quiet location. Had single room with tea and coffee. Good location to explore Exmouth and easy to find. Had own key to front door and own room which was clean and tidy.

We Loved it! They made myself and my 2 little girls very welcome. Nothing was to much trouble and the family were so lovely. My girls loved that we had chocolate brownies in our room just before bed.my 7yr old says its the best hotel ever. We will be staying there again next time we visit my sister in exmouth.

This hotel was a real find, located in a quiet street and only 5 minutes walk from the beach. Our room was immaculate and tastefully decorated. There was a generous supply of tea and coffee and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The cooked breakfast was excellent.

We stayed here for 4 nights, the staff and owners were friendly and accommodating. This is the first time we have stayed anywhere other than with family and we were made to feel most welcome, we were provided with a high chair at breakfast for our 16 month old daughter and a travel cot. This hotel is perfectly located near to both the beach and town. The breakfast was delicious and they were understanding that our daughter has a dairy allergy and even offered to store her Soya milk for us. We would definitely stay here again :)

What a lovely hotel! Giles and Malia made us feel so welcome and at home. Our room was on the ground floor and very tastefully decorated. Little details made us feel at home, such as the carafe of water and glasses left for us on the beautiful period feature mantlepiece at the foot of our lovely brass bed. We had plently of pillows to keeps us comfy while we watched some morning tv in bed. But we didn't doze for long! We enjoyed a hearty breakfast before heading to the beach - a mere 5 minute-walk away, which boasts the oldest stretch of Jurassic coastline in Britain. This hotel such great value for money - it's perfectly situated for the beach, town and countryside, and the owners give it such a warm atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back.

Owner manager Giles is the perfect host, friendly and helpful without being overbearing.
The property is tastefully decorated and my room was in neutral tones. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and I had the Goldilocks feeling - everything was 'just right'.
I had booked a double for single use and was given room 6, which is a quiet room facing on to the side road, it was adequate for a weekend stay but would have been way too small for a couple for a week and lacked storage except a minimal amount of hanging space.
(Other reviews cite large rooms, so I think it's worth confirming which one you're getting!)
Overall: Recommended as good value for money.

Thank you for your review, it is great to know what guests think about the hotel and the service we provide. I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay and that you found everything to be just right. I agree that Room 6 would be small for a couple for anything longer than a couple of days but for a single person it is a comfortable size. I will address the issue of more storage space and next time you come I will make sure you stay in a much larger room.

It was a pleasure to meet you and I hope to see you again soon.

Many thanks,

Giles
