“Friday 19th April 2013 Glamping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

There were just the four of us and two dogs but ample room for six adults. Bella and Pam gave us a lovely welcome and the weather was fine too.

Everything was provided, the list goes on and on, you just have to go to see for yourself. The little barn shop was great too, with some special treats that would make you fit to pop.

We managed to get the tent toastie warm with the log burner and cooked a Thai Green Curry that we had pre-ordered. We had starters on the balcony with a chilled bottle of fizz and a fantastic meal that lasted well into the night. Lit by oil lamps and candles.

The morning started early as I was awoken by what I thought was a wild Exmoor Beast but it was a noisy pheasant flapping against the canvas. Even the dogs did`nt move from their idyllic long weekend

Andy, Sheena, Alastair, Bridget and the dogs Minty and Bertie.

This was our second visit to Longlands and it was just as amazing as before! The lodges are fantastic, nothing has been missed. It's an outdoor experience in complete luxury! All the lodges are all equipped with absolutely everything you could need from body lotion to a coffee grinder! It's so magical cooking on the woodburning stove and eating under candle light! The location is wonderful, set in a a beautiful valley you wake up to birds singing and spectacular views. What's great is you can be as active or as lazy as you want. The beds are so comfortable it's like staying in a luxurious hotel but under canvas and to then be able to have a hot power shower after a day out is fab! We will definately be back and would highly reccommend Longlands to anyone!

I shared three lodges with a group of friends earlier this year. The lodges are exceptionally well equipped for self catering and the novelty of cooking on a wood burning stove was a great reminder that despite the outstanding furnishings and home comforts, we were living in the great outdoors! Self catering for a group can be challenging, especially when it comes to the group shopping trip, so the larder and "ready to cook" breakfast baskets and BBQ were fantastic.

My group of friends and I were planning on long cycle rides and walks (with frequent pub stops) and the recommendations from Bella, Pam, and Richard for suitable routes and watering holes were spot on. A note for cyclists, each lodge had ample storage space under its deck for bikes, and hoses for the wash down. And for the non-cyclists, each lodge has an ample deck for sun down drinks!

Bella, Pam, and Richard, are excellent hosts and really have a clear idea about what they want to achieve at Longlands. I'm happy to say they have achieved it - and then some! I set my expectations quite high when I travel, so I'm often disappointed. Longlands is the first place to exceed my expectations and I will definitely be returning.

We have just returned back from Longlands after spending a fabulous long weekend in one of the Lodges. The clean and comfortable Lodges have everything you could possibly need during your stay - and more! There are lots of thoughtful touches throughout the accommodation such as hot water bottles, White Company bed linen and games in the Discovery Trunk to enhance the 'Glamping' experience. We enjoyed using the stove in the kitchen for cooking and heating and enjoyed hot showers every evening in the en-suite bathroom. Everything you need is provided and all you have to do is relax and enjoy the beautiful view surrounding the Lodge.
Londlands is the perfect place to go to explore everything the North Coast of Devon has to offer. It is close to the Exmoor National park and the fabulous beaches in Woolacombe and Croyde. Longlands is ideal for people who want to leave the stress of modern life behind but also want to be comfortable at the same time!

As a seasoned camper and glamper the lodges take the outdoor experience one step further. They are beautifully appointed inside with lots of luxurious little touches. Bella and Pam have thought of everything and i did start to think that our lodge was better equiped than my own home!

I stayed with a group of girlfriends in September. We ordered a home made meal for Friday night and Bella and Pam provided an excellent chicken Thai curry and gorgeous chocolate cake with fresh raspberries (I would recommend both). The Saturday was spent exploring Exmoor (which is wonderful) but the best part for me was in the afternoon when we hired electric bikes and explored the local area. Seeing the look of shock on other tourists faces when they saw a group of 40 something's speeding up hills and traveling at great speeds on the flat made my day. It's also a fantastic way to see the local area and allowed us to cover much greater distances! The bike hire place was at the top of the longlands drive so very handy.

We woke to rain and wind on Sunday but the lodge was cosy and dry! The covered deck area meant I could still sit outside on the lovely whicker furniture, look at the fantastic veiws, contemplate the day (and my hangover) while waiting for Pam to deliver our breakfast basket of fresh eggs, local bacon/sausages, beans etc, ready for us to cook.
No surfing for us that day as no waves to be found but the area has fantastic beaches and lovely villages to explore locally.
All in all a lovely stay and i will be back, with my family next time!

We had the most enchanting night at Longlands and everything was luxurious. The beds were feather-soft, every need or whim was catered for and we all felt thoroughly spoilt. I recommend being last in the shower queue in the morning as the room gets so toasty warm from the woodburner that it is total camping luxury!
Delicious breakfast was delivered to our door in the morning and we could sit and have hot chocolate on the balcony and watch the wildlife stretch and wake up.
Perhaps the best thing of all was the stars at night. Exmoor is one of the last places in the uk where you have an uninterupted view of the night sky and it was breathtaking - worth a visit if for nothing else.
Bella, Pam and the crew worked so hard and we felt like royalty!

Longlands Farm is absolutely unbeatable if you are looking for luxury in the outdoors. The tents are beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. The hosts, Bella and Pam have paid attention to every last detail and you feel like you are being spoilt. The view from the tent is just beautiful and the only sound is of bleeting sheep in the distance. My 3 year old was taken with the bed inside the 'cupboard' and was surprised to find her own rocking car delivered to the tent. We loved having our fresh baguette and spreads delivered to our tent for breakfast on the deck. Longlands farm is located in a picturesque Devon valley with views all the way to the sea on a clear day. There is plenty to see and do in the area but we were also happy to stay on our tent deck reading and enjoying the view. There is a little stream and a small lake nearby to explore around the farm too. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Longlands Farm and hope to go back again soon. I can honestly recommend Longlands Farm for great hospitality, unexpected luxuries and comfort and the most perfect setting.
