“To many tourists”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Avoid lunch time if you can. After 1pm should do it. Again nice local food and a fire that's been burning since 1845. Not ozone lovers, but nice

“Great Dartmoor Pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Warren House Inn is very old and is one of the highest pubs in England. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere, with lots of old photos around the walls. The food was good and the service excellent - our wait was quite short, even though there were quite a few people in the pub. Can't wait to return in warmer weather and sit out to eat and soak up the fabulous views across Dartmoor!

“Full of history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Warren House Inn is steeped in history being the third highest pub in England and a log fire which has been continuously burning for over 145 years. Because of this we stopped off with visiting friends for a pint and something to eat. Quiet and cosy, the prices are not bad but the atmosphere was warm and comfy - on a cold misty day it felt as though we were getting a big warm cuddle. There is a lot written around the walls about the area and local legend and myths - great if you want to find out about the area. Good for a brief stop off, but the food was a little pricey. Dogs are welcome which is great and the place is lovely and clean - blag a seat by one of the two open fires if you can.

“dont bother if you want cheese!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

after spending over £80 on food between all of us, the bar (which got our order wrong in the first place) wouldn't give us a ten pence piece of cheese for the cheeseburger we ordered. when said we dont mind paying the money (20p) they said we need to take that up with the bar. which meant leaving our food to get cold! bit picky i know but if its what you order you expect to get it.
