Recently stayed at the rural b & b on our way to Cornwall, to break the journey. We stayed in a family room, which was fantastic. Very Clean and very comfy beds. The room had a super king bed and two single beds, which was ideal. Lovely views of Dartmoor too.

The owners could not have been more lovely. They even gave our kids easter eggs as we were staying the weekend after Easter, which was very thoughtful.

Breakfast was fantastic, locally sourced and very tasty. Husband in his element.

Not sure why previous feedback was soooo negative.
Would definately stay again.

“Disappointing Fairway Lodge”

Fairway Lodge was disappointing and more like a motel than a rural bed & breakfast and did'nt live up to expectations from the website. Room 6 had comfortable bed & pillows but the bathroom was like a public convenience and a urinal would'nt have looked out of place. Breakfast was adequate but swimming in grease. Would'nt revisit.

We welcome all feed back, good and bad, we have been the owners of Fairway Lodge for about 1 year and we can honestly say this is the first negative feedback we have recieved.

We accept the bathroom in room 6 is rather heavily tiled, this is due to it being a wet room designed for our less able bodied guests. Our other bathrooms are much more comfortable, we have listened to this feedback and will take appropriate action to improve the bathroom where possible.

With regard the breakfast being greasy, we have had no mention of this previously, infact we are often complimented on the quality, any fried items in the breakfast (eggs & fried bread) are cooked using as little oil as possible all other items bacon, sausage, black pudding etc are grilled to make them as healthy as possible.

Many thanks for your feedback, we hope this doesn't discourage you from making a repeat visit.
