We stopped in the Travel Lodge on our way down to Newquey.
We weren't expecting much as we booked it because of the low price (£29 for the night).
On check in the staff were friendly although you'd think they'd never come across a gay couple before lol.
The room was ok, very basic as you'd expect, it was cleanish although I don't think I've ever seen dusty walls before! We have to admit though when the curtains are closed it looks like a hospital room!
The bed was comfy although we tried not to turn over much as it was quite squeaky!
My partner was bitten twice in the room though!
In the room there was tea making facilities, towels and a bar of soap. There was no shower gel although it said on the booking confirmation that it's available in reception but when I asked I was told they don't do it but after I got back to room we had a knock on the door and the very nice receptionist had found some that someone had left and bought it up to us!
There is a vending machine in reception that has various bits in it such as tea, coffee, snacks and there is a Dove pack!
The Little Chef next the the Travel Lodge was quite nice, the food was better then expected and there are vouchers available on voucher cloud!
There is quite a large shop attached to the petrol station which sells quite a lot including alcohol and there is a cafe attached to it that sells Costa Coffee and hot and cold food (really good value for breakfast).
All in all a decent stay when you're on the road!

It is always good to get positive feedback from our customers after they have stayed with us. We will make sure the hotel receive a copy of your compliment.
With regards to the provision of toiletries, it is Travelodge policy not to provide them as standard in our rooms, but most of our hotels contain vending machines that dispense such. This allows us to keep our costs down, and pass the savings on to our customers.
