I really love this place. Friendly, laid back and with a really nice vibe. Food is tasty and generous. All round good.

“Worth diverting for..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

On our way to a vintage and retro fair we called in at Chudleigh for morning coffee with Sally and Simon. This was our second visit and as before the coffee and croissant were excellent.
There is also a wonderful selection of cakes and pies, including Homity.
The ambiance is good, this is a Wifi and mobile free establishment so you get to chat or read a paper in peace. There is also a garden area
The loos are quirky, in the basement with a steep and twisted staircase and there are individual flannels in the place of towels.
Harveys is quirky and charming, a worthwhile diversion from the A38

“The Deli that's run like a pub!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Harvey's is a quaint town centre cafe/deli that used to be the town's main grocer/deli. Since being converted some years ago by 'Harvey' and then sold to the current owners, Sally & Simon, it has become the hub of the community. There is a simple but freshly produced menu and a range of sandwiches/baguettes/baps; cakes; pies & pasties. The coffee is excellent and the Latte is the best in the country (one or two unnamed international coffee shops could do well to learn from Sally & Simon how to make a proper latte.)
Although Simon runs a 'tight ship' here, when they have time, they both circulate and chat with customers giving it the friendly 'local pub' feel of my title.
Always worth a visit, summer or winter. Always the same high standard. A real asset to the town of Chudleigh.

“Afternoon tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

We only went for afternoon tea, but this was excellent. The cake was delicious. We sat in the small garden and this was a very pleasant area.

“Lunch with friends”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Great place for lunch - lovely service and great food. Table in window is a good location. Table a bit wobbly but that didn't affect our time there. Very friendly staff.
