The Three Crowns is a beautiful hotel tucked away in the heart of Dartmoor. The food, service and accommodation is of a very high standard. Staff extremely friendly and very helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for any person including families with young children.

After a long car journey my husband, daughter and I arrived to warm welcome and beautiful stylish rooms in the newer courtyard annex. The ‘double’ and ‘twin’ rooms were fresh, comfortable, clean and very well presented. Breakfast was taken in the conservatory, which was light and airy. There was a good choice on offer – both cooked and continental options as well as pastries, fruit and yogurt. The service was exceptionally good, with friendly banter and attention to detail. We dined in the restaurant (in the older part of the building) on the second evening of our stay. The dishes were beautifully prepared and delicious and we were extremely pleased with the service once again – the people are delightful. In fact I cannot fault the place – it was simply perfect.

Room Tip: I would recommend courtyard rooms 1 and 4

Having stayed at the 3 Crowns in February we beat a 3 day return visit during mid July as an adjunct to a visit to friends in Cornwall as a bonus for the long drive from Swansea
As ever the hotel was excellent in every respect particularly the food quality whilst the friendliness of the staff was attentive, polite and efficient at all times.
Having recommended it to our son and daughter in law they stay for 4 nights on the weekend following our stay and came to the same conclusion concerning the quality of their stay whilst also enjoying many walks on the beautiful Dartmoor
My wife has already strongly hinted that we should return in November for her birthday weekend
which means that our pension pot will inevitably have to stretch to accommodate "her who must be obeyed"
If you are just thinking of booking - get on with it. You will not be disappointed!

We stayed at the three crowns just before Christmas with our 10 month old for my mother in laws birthday.
The staff couldn't of been more helpful. They were happy for us to change rooms so that the baby monitor worked in the bar. The food was lovely and the hotel looked beautiful with all the Xmas decorations. The room was very comfortable, large and clean. Looking forward to going back again.

Don't miss this hotel it is lovely, roomy, modern but soooo comfortable and welcoming. We stayed in a great double room. There is limited parking but there was a space specially marked for us on arrival and we never struggled to park. Food delicious.

My husband and I stayed here recently after seeing the great reviews here and we were not disappointed. The room was lovely and felt like home as soon as we entered. Our bathroom had a level access shower which was fabulous and the bathroom was big and well laid out. Great TV, and big comfy bed. The restaurant was excellent too. The staff were very attentive and very nice with it. Most of all we found this place had such a nice relaxed vibe and we cannot wait to stay here again.
