“Lovely Relaxing Stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

We stayed 2 nights over the Easter period. Both Debra and Paul the owners were very welcoming to this charming B&B. We stayed in room 10, a large ground floor room pleasantly furnished with views over the beautiful gardens and countryside. The breakfast on both mornings was excellent with a large choice and Diana the waitress very attentive and friendly. It lasted us all day until evening meal! 2 small criticisms.I am a tall lady but when sat at the table in front of the mirror I could not see in it and needed to sit on a pillow! Also there is a nice array of products on the drinks tray with lovely welcoming biscuits but the coffee is horrid in the sachets and weak even with 2 in the mug!! Unlike the lovely coffee at breakfast. Having said that it was a very relaxing and pleasant stay and we look forward to returning.

Very good B&B near Chagford. Two good ground floor rooms (No 10 and 11) and large gardens. Great views and also a good location for visiting the surrounding area. Good low cost alternative accommodation fro those wishing the dine at Gidleigh Park
Breakfast is excellent using good quality local produce

Room Tip: Rooms 10 and 11 are ground floor.

This is the second time we have stayed at Easton Court and we both love it! The staff are friendly, serve fantastic breakfasts and the place itself is just great.

Rooms are large, clean and have beautiful views. We visit Chagford fairly often and I'm so glad we have found somewhere so lovely to stay!

I highly recommend Easton Court and we will be sure to return time and time again!

Thank you yet again for a wonderful stay :)

Stayed for one night with family members. Warm welcome, nice room.
Care re: upstair rooms - accessible only via outside stairway.
Enjoyable breakfast. Comfortable bed. Room overlooked beautiful countryside. The garden was large and looked perfect to use on a lovely Summer's day.

Where to celebrate our wedding anniversary we said... Why... there was never any doubt... We would accept nothing less than the perfect place... It HAD to be Easton Court. We had waited so long... too long to return (life and it's curveballs always try to thwart plans) and we can honestly say it was well worth the wait. Always happy to try new places, nowhere has ever come close to this amazing B&B and it's lovely owners, Paul and Debra. Not forgetting the wonderful housekeeper Diana of course. We were lucky enough to book in to the same room which we had loved so much the last time, room 7 with a huge bed and a great view of the beautiful garden! Paul and Debra are more like old friends than just being the owners of this gorgeous B&B, warm and welcoming with great conversation. It was so great to see them again. Paul and Debra work hard to keep Easton Court fresh and comfortable for their guests but never at the detriment of this lovely building. Breakfast was excellent as always and Diana proved warm and cheery as she took the breakfast requests. I really can't praise Easton Court enough and can't wait to return. I admit it... After over 20 years of nights away, mini-breaks and such-like... nothing even comes close to our beloved Easton Court. See you again soon!

We stayed four nights at Easton Court in mid September. We had been looking forward to this our second visit and were not disappointed. This former hotel is steeped in history and has a deeply relaxing and happy atmosphere about it. The five bedrooms are quiet and beautifully furnished, with enchanting views across the extensive gardens and the unspoilt Devon countryside beyond. Room 10 on the ground floor is particularly attractive and ideal for Brenda whose mobility is impaired. On arrival we were greeted warmly by our host, Paul Witting, who made us feel really welcome right from the start. Unfortunately, Paul and Debra had to be elsewhere for the rest of our stay but we were left in the wonderfully capable hands of the lovely Diana, their housekeeper, who is a real treasure. Not only does Diana keep Easton Court spotlessly clean, but her delicious and wholesome breakfasts are legendary and her knowledge of the area can only be described as encyclopaedic. Our sincere thanks to Paul, Debra and Diana for making our stay so special. We will certainly be back ....... soon !!
