Having just travelled on the South Devon Railway, we thought it would be prudent to ask one of the staff to recommend a local eatery. A guard enthused about the Dartbridge Inn and so we acted on his advice. Being a Sunday we ordered from their "Roast" selection. I had half a roast chicken and my wife had roast pork. Whilst my meal was lovely, I couldn't help but cast a beady eye on my wife's roast pork dinner, which was accompanied by the crispiest and tastiest crackling that I have ever encountered! The Yorkshire Puddings were unbelievable. I speak as a weary veteran of many a pub "roast" where the Yorkshires are ALWAYS akin to a dried out, tasteless hollow ball that would crumble into dust if you were to crush it between both hands. These on the other hand were delicious, moist on the inside whilst pleasantly crisp on the outside! I would kill to find out the "Colonel's recipe" for these delights! We also had deserts and coffees which were both delightful. Alex, the waitress was more than accommodating. All in all, unusually, I am simply at a loss to express any complaint about this restaurant!
