Went here for a light lunch. Two of us had mixed crab sandwiches which were lovely, these were accompanied by some salad. Another had fish was also very well cooked. The other member of our party asked for an alteration to the way her meal was served; this was accomplished without fuss and the food was also well cooked.
The internal décor of the restaurant is very dark and quite eclectic. It is, to be honest, a bit foreboding in atmosphere with very dark wood and equally dark paintings and brasses covering the walls. There were also some handwritten notices about telling you what you couldn't do and when I finally found the ladies room upstairs via a quite labyrinthine route, passing a wizard type ornament sitting on one of the tables, I found it amusing that there was even a small handwritten sign saying "press taps" (it seemed like an order, but, maybe it is just my sense of humour...).
Anyway, we found the food good and the staff, although they were pleasant enough, we got the feeling that they would soon sort you out if you upset them in any way. As I said, it's an odd place, whether or not intentional. Maybe the management/owners could think about that.
