“Food lovely but staff dont seem to know what the other is doing!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

Came here for our second visit (came last year) and its not as good as I remember. The food was lovely but the chap who ran it/owned it needs a lesson on how to treat your staff, especially in front of the customers, The way he spoke to the 2 young lads who were doing their best was shocking. We arrived whilst a small group of men ordered a take away. Their food was handed to them just as we were leaving. If I had to wait that long for a takeaway I would not be happy.
The main chap seemed to be more interested in playing with the cordless phones and all through our meal we could hear the phone ringing, the poor lad serving thought someone was ringing and answered it, only to be shouted at to leave it alone. All this in front of customers. As per a previous review, all staff asked if we wanted poppadoms! Lovely food just shame about atmosphere.

“Service shocking”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013 via mobile

Food was ok but service was shocking. We had 4 different waiters all ask us what we wanted to drink and if we wanted poppadoms, when it all eventually arrived wine was half open bottle that although he said we could have on the house had obviously been open a while and tasted off! Waiters tie dipped in the glass, 2nd waiter knocked over another glass all over the table, when food did arrive is was nice but garlic nann was raw and the amount of raw onion in my dopiaza was ridiculous. We could count the frozen prawns on one hand and the rice looked like fish food with little bits of food coloured rice within! Wouldn't return.

“amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Me and my girlfriend come in here all the time , admittedly it is usually for a take away but when we do eat in we are given a five star experience. I can see where the other reviews are coming from with the incompetence of some new staff members but the food is what counts.
The food is 5* all the way, I've eaten Indian food all over the country and this is the best by far. I've had nearly everything on the menu and never been disappointed.
I highly recommend getting a takeaway, the peshwari naan is delicious.

“If ZERO was an option!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

It is a shame nil poi isn't an option here as 1 is an overscore on all parts. Start by the atmosphere in here what a joke zero people skills plates from a grandma's house at best. Ignorant staff
probably if legal could do with a slap. We went with it to start with and ordered the starter which arrived and had more dye in than an old lady's blue rinse just about managed to eat those. As the main came this could only be described as baby food or mush puree. At this point we decided to leave and offer to pay for the drinks and the starters. The staff were totally rude and wanted paying for all even though the mains were not touched we gave them what we should and left. If you live or are holidaying in the area and crave a curry you will do better at Iceland. What a total disgusting rank expirence. DONT GO HERE IT'S S**T

“Good Food, questionable service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Visited to buy a takeaway. Noticed level 5 food hygiene certification on wall dated 2009. Further check reveals this is still the case but could do with up to date certificate showing. Ordered chicken chilli masala and lemon rice. I was a little taken aback when told they could not do Lemon Rice that night. Agreed to have plain rice instead. During the 15 minutes I waited for my food I witnessed chaotic service. Instead of what should have appeared calm service, the boss erratically ordered his service staff about, this seemed indicative that the boss knew what he wanted but the staff were not trained and the issues were drawn out in front of customers. That being said, the food was nice, with a good level of chillies that were balanced in heat and spiciness. The other disappointment was that the poppadoms did not have complimentary relishes/sauces or salad. Management need to concentrate on training to make service smooth and causing minimal intrusion to the dining experience.
