“Excellent food and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

The Riverside is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The menu had plenty of fresh local produce and I have to pay special merit to the prawns in coconut batter with a spicy salsa - delicious! The place was buzzing and whilst we had an early booked and had promised to leave by 8.00, we weren't rushed and ended the evening by moving outside which was very civilised!

I did suffer a little as I was unaware that 'vegetable tagliatelle' was in fact thin stips of carrot and courgette, I am allergic to courgette so this was a little unfortunate. I probably should have checked and spared myself the discomfort I felt for the next few hours.

Would definitely visit again and advise others to do the same.

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

This lovely little cafe was ultra friendly, with a great atmosphere!
We stopped off for a Cream Tea! Which was fantastic, the scones were freshly cooked, and still warm, they were also huge... And beautifully presented with fresh summer fruits.
We weren't rushed out, and were made to feel extremely welcome. All serving staff were very polite.

“Really good food, lovely atmosphere and reasonable value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

Staying in the village, we booked in here on the basis of the tripadvisor reviews. Happy to say we were not disappointed. Extensive menu with some really nice twists on the ingredients. Really reallytasty food that perhaps could do with a little better descriptions on the ingredients (to help those with food allergies). All of this and San Miguel on draught!!
