Description: A warm Guernsey welcome awaits you at the Old Quarter Restaurant from Paddy, Dana and the staff. This is honest, no nonsense food with a slight Irish slant as you would only expect from Paddy's home roots. The Restaurant prides itself on using as much locally sourced ingredients as possible; fresh from the land and the sea the taste of Guernsey comes out in every dish. Paddy and the team are keen to show off the best of what Guernsey has on offer each season and the menu changes to reflect this. Our cosy restaurant caters for parties up to fifty people, so whether its a business meeting over lunch or an intimate dinner for two we will always do everything to meet your expectations. We are also very flexible with our menus and happy to adapt to your needs where possible. You will find us at the centre of the Old Quarter among a mixture of antique dealers, art gallery's, craft shops, fashion boutiques and unique privately run shops of all types and descriptions. With its narrow cobbled streets it really is like going back in time to what most of the town of St Peter Port once looked like, but with a modern twist of quaint little shops. Any stroll around town is not complete without a trip up Mill and Mansell Street, why not cap it off with a light lunch or and early evening meal.

“most impressed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Just finished a quick trip to Guernsey and northern France. This stood out amongst some other very good ones. It was a special occasion and I ordered a salad as an entree and scallops as a main. My dining partner had the scallops for starters and the steak with blue cheese as his main. A fairly extensive wine list was offered to us, and a lovely burgundy red enhanced the meal. Everything was superbly prepared and presented. Scallops are my favourite and this is by far the best I have ever had-cooked just enough. Service was friendly and yet very professional. We felt well looked after. The ambience is pleasant, allowing for intimate conversation yet it was busy enough for me to conclude that this is a popular spot with locals too. I would love to go back for another meal, it was that good! It is not inexpensive, but prices were reasonable considering the quality of the experience.

“Fabulous food, fabulous hosts.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

We booked to eat at The Old Quarter based on the Trip Advisor reviews. We were not dissapointed.
We arrived a little early and sat and had a drink whilst choosing our food and wine. Our hosts made us very relaxed immediately and assured us we were not to be rushed.
The food was excellent as was the Voignier we chose with our Meal.
A good choice of food including daily specials, a good wine and drink choice and excellent service. When we return to Guernsey we fully intend to come back.

“One of the best meals ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Hubby and I met with friends who recommended this restaurant during our holiday in July this year. From the friendly atmosphere to the most stunning food, made our evening out here fabulous. Wine was pretty fine too! We all had something different, be it scallops to start or goats cheese, to lamb, fillets of beef and steaks. Our friend who had the scallops said they were the best he had ever had. I had the lamb - it just melted in your mouth. Every course was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. All these words seem so shallow to the wonders of the food. Its hard to express anything other than grateful thanks to the superb chef - who comes out to greet you all during the evening. Charming character and very humble for a man so talented! If you go to Guernsey this restaurant must be on your list.

Ate here during August 2013. Once we had found it we enjoyed an amazing meal, and the staff were nothing but charming.

“Absolutely fantastic!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

Only found the restaurant this week whilst looking for somewhere different to go. Absolutely fantastic everything - food, service, wine. Have booked team Christmas party and will hopefully visit in between. Pretentious Guernsey restaurants had better up their game or be prepared to lose their business!!
