“Well located friendly Guesthouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2012

Seawold is very comfortable and clean. Debbie and Kate are so helpful and the location is great for a flat walk along the beachfront just across the road. Parking on site and close to Goose Inn which is fine for a meal. Good value for money and nice lounge area. Will be staying on next visit to visit family. Thank you Debbie and Kate for the welcome.

Stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed every minute. Kate and Debbie were brilliant especially as we arrived late. Everything was put in an envelope and left for us on reception. In the morning we were made very welcome at breakfast which by the way was cooked to our requirements with no trouble at all. The room was clean and tidy and linen changed as and when we wanted. Although the decor was a litle tired looking it does not reflect the excelence of the hotel and I would definately go back and recommend to others. The only gripe is the car park as some of the spaces were difficult to get into. A 6 point turn was needed at times. All in all and despite the weather we had a lovely time. A big thank you to Kate and Debbie

We returned to the Seawold and were pleased to find it as excellent as it was 2 years ago. Kate and Debbie are very friendly hosts, the breakfast superb and the room well kept and comfortable as we expected.
Thanks again girls for a very happy stay x

Kate and Debbie were wonderful! Friendly and accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble, booking taxis and meals, made our short stay a lovely one. Rooms were clean and tidy, they served breakfast earlier for us. Food was good. Comfortable lounge area, free internet access on their computer, parking, close to bus stops and a good pub, 1 minute to the beach. I really can't thank you both enough. Think the fact that I have booked for next year said it all!

Room Tip: up stairs on the right have a nice view of gardens.

Stayed over a long weekend. The manager Debbie was lovely and was very helpful. I would give her five stars! The guest house itself is located on the main road into St Helier which was quite busy at times but not overly noisy. The sea front is a three minute walk away. Its about a 30 minute walk to St Aubin along the sea front path. Jersey is great if you like walking. There are lots of walking paths across the island and the guest house is in a good location to get onto some of these. If not there is a bus stop not far from the guest house serving the whole island. There is ample car parking. The breakfasts are nice. There is the option to bring your own alcohol, with a fridge in the main communal area with glasses and a bottle opener which was a good touch.
I found that the guest house could do with a bit of a make over. Its a bit kitsch. The pillows in the room that we stayed in could definitely do with being replaced. They were a bit lumpy and flat but this did not stop me getting a decent nights sleep. The bathrooms could also do with updating. Its difficult to criticise the guest house as the owner seems so nice and to refurb every room would cost a fortune but new pillows etc are a start. Also the price of the guest house compared to many on Jersey is very reasonable. Its not luxurious but very homely.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2011

My husband, myself and 9 year old son stayed here for three nights in April 2011 on a short leisure break to explore Jersey. The plan for us as to be out and about as much as possible seeing all the sights. When we arrived, Debbie gave us a fantastically warm welcome plus lots of information about how to get about, local facilities and even pointed us in the direction of a 15% discount voucher for the local pub. She quickly made friends with my son and promised him bacon sandwiches for breakfast which is surely the way to his heart. She explained that there are no fridges in the rooms but there is one in the lounge which we are welcome to use for whatever supplies we want to chill. They keep bottle openers and glasses on the top of it so in the evenings, after a hard day's sightseeing, we popped our bottle of wine out of the fridge and enjoyed it in front of the television. There were also lots of games and books, plus a PC in the corner for guests to use.

Breakfasts were great, cooked to order and served by the ever cheerful Debbie who checked all the time if there was anything else that was needed.

The room we had was great with one double and two single beds, plus double aspect. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of storage and the little TV in the corner of the room was perfect for a bit of breakfast news in the morning. There was tea and coffee, plus a kettle in the room too. The decor tended to the old fashioned but if you ask me that is the charm of a B & B And everything was spotless.

Parking was no problem with off road spaces available.

I'd recommend this for the fabulous service, genuine customer care and great location as a base for exploring the wonderful island of Jersey.
