“CANT FAULT THE HOTEL, A LOVELY EXPERIENCE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

Having read other reviews about this hotel, i booked with trepidation for break for my wife's birthday, i need not worry.
The hotel is located on a lovely marina, which is 10 minutes walk from the town which had a wide range of shops, the local bus station which is easy to understand and the buses can take you to most places on the island, i was allocated a sea view room so we could see the sea and the tides come in and out. It was a lovely spacious room which was tastefully decorated and also spotlessly clean.
The bathroom was of a high standard of fixtures and also a lovely powerful hot shower when required.
The bed is very large and very comfortable with clean sheets and comfy covers.
The breakfast area which doubles up as a bar lounge area is very spacious with new comfy chairs, as far as i am concerned there is no issues in respect of breakfast mayhem, the reception inform you from check in that there is three periods, busy, very busy and not so busy, so chose accordingly, i could not fault the food selection which is of the buffer variety, selection of cereal , and then the cooked stuff followed by the many fruits on offer, the service was faultless and the staff performed their duties with a smile.
I would recommend and will return again.

Room Tip: get a sea view room

Breakfast was a bit chaotic, some of the staff did not seem to know if they were coming or going. On the second day we were out until 4.30 pm and when we returned to our room, because I had migraine, to find it had not been cleaned we put a do not disturb sign outside. Later in the evening as we were going out, there was a sheet of paper on the floor outside our door saying the room had not been cleaned as a do not disturb sign was displayed all day.

Other than that a nice hotel, and a good location

Room Tip: Rooms with seaview can be noisy, if you leave your windows open at night.. There was a group of kid...

Dear Stephen,

Many thanks for taking the time to review Radisson Blu Jersey, and for your constructive comments with regards to our breakfast service.

Breakfast can become very busy at peak times in the hotel as we do have over 300 guests staying with us; therefore, we do try to manage the flow of guests coming for breakfast at busy times and are currently trialling various approaches in order to find a way that works best for everyone.

We do hope that you will return to stay with us in future and are pleased that you enjoyed your overall experience of Radisson Blu Jersey.

Best wishes.

This hotel has many unsupervised trainees, not their fault, management issues I guess. They seemed puzzled by basic requests ! Low standard, not of English , but English perception. The rooms had "cheap" thin carpet and banging doors which meant peace and quiet was not on the cards ! Low standard of food, poor staffing of bar. Pricey low quality cocktails. Just a fantastic location spoiled with a hotel tha maybe does not have to try to hard !

The hotel is in a very good location with plenty of parking. Very nice views from our room, but the room itself was somewhat tired and so bland. Bathroom ok. Corridors are musty. The terrace and bar areas are attractive having been recently refurbished apparently. Breakfast very average and always a queue to be seated.
One other thing - security is lax. No one appears to notice who comes into the hotel and accesses the lifts!

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room?

Dear reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with valuable feedback following your recent visit to Radisson Blu Jersey.

We appreciate your comments with regards to the bedroom and also the breakfast, we know it is not ideal having to queue for a table and we are currently working on a system to alleviate this going forward.

We were pleased to hear that you liked our newly redecorated Waterfront Bar and Restaurant area and hope that you will return soon to enjoy this further.

Best wishes,
The Radisson Blu Team.

Took parents to the refurbished Blu for a breakfast. The renovation and staff all score highly but the breakfast was lousy. Cheap quality, buffet style but at £15 per head thus ant a treat for non-residents. Top marks for the team but please sack the chef or at least review your early morning offering. 4 very disappointed diners.

Room Tip: We were non residents looking for breakfast, wish we'd gone elsewhere.

Great location great views enormous junior suite rooms but sadly let down by below average decoration in the suite and the bathroom looked tired and cheap compared with other radison blu hotels I have stayed in around the world. And the breakfast buffet really bad food and tired display and little or no variety. Shame and I hope that it improves as the location is great

We had a lovely time in Jersey. The Radisson Blu is a very good hotel with everything you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Our room was good and very comfortable. Check in and out was very efficient and friendly. We ate in the restaurant on one night and the food and service was excellent. The hotel is very close to the town and is walking distance which is good for shopping and evenings out. Visitors beware there is not much open on a Sunday! The breakfast service at the Radisson was not as good as the evening hence not being able to give 5 stars. I think this hotel would benefit from an egg chef probably with an egg bar. I also think that with the exception of the book in staff at breakfast and one or two other waiter staff the breakfast experience could be improved by some smiles!! We would like to stay at this hotel the next time we visit Jersey.
