Firstly the picture of the outside of the hotel does not do justice.
It's a very cosy boutique hotel that obviously hits the spot.
The hotel has a wonderfully warm home from home feel throughout and a come and go as you please feel. It really feels like you are a welcome house-guest and nothing is too much hassle rather than being another number.
If you like sterile minimalist rooms with no heart and soul this is not the place for you.
Before we arrived Nyulla helped make our stay extra special by arranging some special treats for my wife's birthday and when we arrived that certainly did win some brownie points!
Frank, the owner invited us to have a drink upon our arrival in the very comfortable lounge and we ended up staying up late drinking and enjoying the company of Frank and the guests, and several bottles of wine.
The room (Raleigh) was large, comfortable and had a great view, it was nice and warm which meant we could open the windows a bit for some fresh air. There wasn't anything we wanted/needed that wasn't there and we slept very well in the large comfortable bed.
WiFi was reliable and a good signal on the mobile.
Although there was a heatwave it was a shame we didn't get to use the pool as we hadn't brought swimmers.
The location is nice and quiet off the main drag but just a few minutes by taxi from St Helier - or better still about 20ish minutes walk along the seafront.
I actually looked to see who hadn't rated the property as excellent as I was struggling to see how that could be the case.
It seems most people that gave 4 out of 5 raved about it anyway and the one entry from 2005 complained about the breakfast - well we had the full english 3 mornings and it was very nice.
Admittedly I have had better full english but I have had many more worse and I would say that Eulah is probably in the top 25% but there's also Cereal, Fruit, Yoghurt, Toast, Croissant, Juice, fresh cafetiere Coffee etc etc etc - come on - you really can't knock the breakfast !
The only suggestion I can make is that I often travel with a laptop and don't like leaving it in the room unless in a safe - that said Jersey isn't exactly Brazil!
Thanks Nyulla and Frank - I'm sure we'll be back before too long to sample the michelin star delights Jersey has to offer along with the comfortable tranquil relaxation provided by Eulah.
Raleigh was great - but each room has different attributes so look on the website and phone up /emai...
