“very good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

Very good location for the beach and the town centre. The rooms are a little small but have everything you need, although they could do with redecorating. The winner of this place is the service, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is also tasty.

Room Tip: We were staying on the third floor, I don't know if there is a variety in the rooms on other flo...

My friend and I spent a lovely few days at The Revere. The rooms were clean and comfortable with pleasant decor. There was plenty of hot water day and night in the bathroom. The rooms downstairs were cozy and interesting and the staff were helpful and pleasant.

There was a party taking place on the Saturday night which had loud music but it stopped immediately at 12. The WIFI was a bit temperamental but coming from Dorset I am used to that!

We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for a few days in November . The bus from the airport dropped us at the stop near the Grand and it was a short stroll to the hotel. It's a reasonably central location.
The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was self service with a nice selection to choose from. We had a room at the front but would prefer a room at the rear next time as the street came to life from 7am. It wasn't too bad but we'd just prefer total quiet.
We enjoyed a drink and chat with the friendly barman,Tony,in the hotel. This is a pleasant hotel and we would stay here again.

We've been to the revere for my wife's birthday and we've booked through British airways, the value was the best of it, rooms reasonably sized, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Great location. Needs a bit if renovation. But was just perfect for our break.

I came to this hotel with the Lowestoft Signing Choir to take part in the competition at the Opera House. I think the staff were lovely in their attitude towards us and the food was out of this world. The breakfast was delicious and the three course meal that I had was excellent.

In almost every way, The Revere Hotel exceeded my admittedly rather low expectations. The hotel oozed charm and coziness, with it's central location in St. Helier a perfect base from which to explore the island. My 'Standard' room was comfortable, clean and accommodating, with a separate walk-in wardrobe, and a large toilet with a bath/shower. The nicest thing about the room, however, was the fact that it was full of character. For a couple, one must admit that the bed was on the small side, and at times the blanket did not seem large enough.
I truly do believe that it is the staff that make any property, and in this case all the staff that we encountered were professional, courteous and got everything we asked done. Comparing to the other three star properties I have stayed in, The Revere was leaps and bounds ahead in almost every category. While choices for breakfast were not anything special, they were more than ample. The only thing I'd highlight in this respect is the abysmal orange juice concentrate that they offer- it was, in a word, horrible. It doesn't take much to put out fresh orange juice, or at least one that is drinkable. If someone from the hotel is reading this, I recommend you try it and hopefully you will see where I am coming from. Another thing of note is that when I needed a dental kit, the hotel did not have any. This is a very basic thing that all hotels, and even airlines offer their guests. Same goes for a shaving kit- The Revere needs to stock up on both of these fundamentally basic amenities.
At the end of the day, I found this hotel to be a great value, and a perfect base from which to explore the island. While there were hicks, I was impressed, and shall return.

There was 30 of us staying here for a signing competition. Nothing was a problem for the staff, we had tea, coffee and danish pastries when we arrived in the morning, a lovely 3 course meal at lunch time. Tea, coffee and biscuits was provided for when we came home in the evening. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. A lovely hotel.
