“Simply wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2010

Stayed here for two nights to celebrate my partners birthday. It is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished and the whole hotel was classy and spottlessly clean. The staff were attentive and friendly and we even parked in the manager's parking space when the car park was full! The breakfast was excellent. This hotel is about a five minute walk from the centre of St Helier which was perfect for us as we like to wander. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a perfect short break. Our first time to Jersey and The Savoy Hotel - but won't be our last! Excellent.

Stayed here in June 2010 and had a marvellous time. The staff where all dressed smartly and all were extremely polite and helpful. The food was of a very good quality and going half board worked out to be of a reasonable cost.
The only downside that I would say was that the hotel is situated right opposite the Police and Fire Stations, though I must say they are very considerate regarding sirens. The hotels location is about 10 minutes walk to the town centre and has many ways of getting there. We enjoyed the walk after our evening meal.

The Hotel is in a fantastic location for the corporate or leisure traveller.

The staff are fantastic as nothing was too much trouble for them, and they will help in any way they can.

The room was very comfortable with all the facilities I needed

The service was out of this world as was the food, and I would definitley recommend the steak sandwich it was pure heaven.

I will certainly be staying again and will certainly recommend to friends and family

Got a 5 nights for price of 4 deal which worked out at £70 a night so brilliant value. Breakfast ample with a good selection of things to eat. Staff can't do enough for you which makes a big difference. We went to the jazz night on friday (finishes 10pm ish - so don't arrive too late). Chilled out music, in a great bar setting. Slept well, nice beds and not noisy. Rooms are very spacious and ours had a sofa which doubled as another bed (if needed). Room safe (free) and flat screen tv with lots of british channels. Pool still a little chilly for a dip but is a nice seating area for reading. If i'm being really mean i could say that the room decor is slightly dated. I quite like modern hotel rooms and so could do with a little refresh. Would give 4.5 stars and would be 5 if rooms updated. Can't fault, good location would stay again.

We booked this hotel through Condor Breaks and although it was our 3rd or 4th choice I have to say I think we picked a winner. We stayed in a superior room (one above standard) and it was exteremely clean and roomy - we even had a 2 seater sofa in it! All we had to do for a linen change was place a card on the bed and the cleaning service was excellent. The hotel itself is situated just off the main shopping area about 10 minutes walk away.St Helier is full of brilliant resataurants and shops and the hotel restaurant has just recently been awarded a rosette. The restaurant and bar prices are very reasonable and they cater for all day light lunches as well (although the lasagne I had was enormous) We found the staff friendly and in particular George, one of the porters, was very helpful. The only downside I found was that the outside pool was extremely cold, even in the recent hot spell. All in all though thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return

Having had to make a last minute change because of the volcanic ash, we settled on going by sea to Jersey. We decided on this hotel whilst making the arrangements on the telephone. We were absolutely delighted with our choice. It is a peaceful understated 4 star hotel with a fabulous lounge. Our room was well furnished, and of a reasonable size. The cooked breakfast is possibly one of the best I've ever tasted, cooked to order. Although there was not a great deal of choice, we were set up for the day. We ate in the bar and enjoyed the jazz one evening and had a meal in the restaurant on the Sunday - it was first class. Downside, the rooms could possibly get too warm in the summer as I did not see any air conditioning and although the pool was very welcome, there was little outside space and no real comfortable sun loungers to spend any time on. Perhaps more suited to the business traveller.

A clean and comfortable hotel with friendly, welcoming staff.
Lovely breakfast room with a very good choice of continental and full english.
Not too far from the town or beach but if you don't want to venture far, there are sun beds around a very nice pool.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Savoy Jersey is a distinctly different boutique hotel based in St Helier. It was originally a grand townhouse dating back to the 1800s which has been modernised over the years and recently undergone a full refurbishment to all public areas, bedrooms, courtyard and swimming pool. Located in a central position within easy walking distance to the town shops, restaurants, parks and waterfront, The Savoy has a cool and tranquil feel, where guests can be truly comfortable. The bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style and many have views of the pool. The beautifully chic Montana Restaurant offers a good a la carte menu - which incorporates lots of local flavour. Service is attentive and thoughtful from well mannered and well trained staff, adding to the experience of your stay. Then there's the hotel's jazz bar Roberto's, which offers a lighter menu and hosts live jazz sessions on Friday nights as well as some weekdays. As you might expect, the bar is modern and stylish and has plenty of atmosphere. Outside, The Courtyard offers an al fresco dining experience that can be enjoyed right next to the heated swimming pool. During the afternoon this becomes a sun-trap which is perfect for lazy lunches. ... more   less
