“Ok food & good service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

If you are looking for half decent food for half decent value then this is the place for you. Nothing spectacular, the restaurant is out arguably outdated but staff were friendly and efficient.

“Excellent Portugese Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Food is excellent with good portions and very reasonably priced. Service is good and very friendly. Do ask for ice cream as desert because it is Jersey ice cream with good quality. Overall a very nice atmosphere and there are also a couple of tables outside where you can smoke as well.

“Great fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We ate here twice during our brief trip to Jersey. The food on the first night was definitely better than the second but the second meal was still good.
The atmosphere old fashioned but the staff friendly and humerous. The wine was good and if by any chance conversation should flag the large windows looked out onto a busy street and made people or car watching fun!

“Tucked away - but worth the find!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

lots of trendy restaurants with good reputations around St Helier, but give this little gem a try and you won't be disappointed. Run by a Portuguese family, a little reticent on entry but once we were seated the ice began to melt. The staff were a little reserved and on edge this night, but after some effort with them they soon relaxed and charmed us with excellent food and service. A small, intimate and "proper" old-fashioned split level mediterannean establishment (the type you see in many classic films) where the staff take their time but surprise you with thier formal quality. If you like intimate, close in, family run restaurants like me, then this is definitely better than it appears. A lovely mix of European cuisines (Portuguese/Italian/French) with decent portions and beautifully cooked to perfection. LOvely choice of wine and all round decent value. Great for couples/families or groups especially if you want an intimate meal without being hurried. Recommend you try it if you visit this lovely clean friendly island.
