“Rugged and untamed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Go at low tide if you want to visit the lighthouse but go at high tide if you really want to see the power of the sea crashing against this outpost on the south-Westerly tip of island.

Lovely place to visit. Stunning views and you get a great feeling of history here with the gun placements still around.

“Wow!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

We had seen black and white posters of a lighthouse in places like Athena and had no idea it was on Jersey. What a location and what a place!
We arrived just after lunch and the tide was out which meant we could walk across the causeway to the lighthouse. It was absolutely stunning! We scrambled over rocks, looked in rock pools, took many photographs. we were so impressed with what we saw, we decided to find out about tide times so that we could go back when the tide was in. We returned the next evening and yet again were simply astounded by what we saw. It is difficult to put into words but the place is pure magic and we could have stayed there for hours just watching. An absolute MUST VISIT location!

“Exhilerating”

We wandered down to the edge of the walkway, didn't go across to the lighthouse as the tide was coming in! Beautiful views.

“Don't get cut off”

Beautiful spot to walk across causeway (as long as tide is low) - lovely rockpools, fantastic coastal views.
